Pre-planning I can see as an acquired through time ability, but seeing that it involves a computer I would have thought would have offset that.

Also in your 20's and in your 50's (if you have made a little money) are both ages with a lot ability to do as you like for things such as the WSOP.

+1 also for plog. TY! That was most informative. Looking and comparing the events I'm interested in (and in general), it seems the WSOP has a few more pts edge over the competition. Even the $1k and $1500 events beat out V and such in the "S-pts" category. Agreed?

i.e. (during my time frame) -
V$600, 77 S-pts
ph$565, 78 S-pts
V$1100, 87 S-pts
WSOP $1k, 98 S-pts

Is a 20 S-pt difference significant then, when making a decision in your opinion? Should I play the WSOP 1k over pH or V?

I am debating between the millionaire maker and monster stack. Last year they got near identical turnouts, so the ms is gonna be better value based on 15k stack vs 7.5k. How drastic is the value increase with a 2x starting stack?

Other factors are the differing events on both weekends, the MM I could play a 1k turbo on sunday and a 1.5k nlh on monday if I brick everything. The MS weekend I could play a 1k nlh on sunday and nothing in my price range monday.

Doesn't everybody simply get lammers like in previous years? As a foreigner, I remember getting ripped off 30% withholding tax by the Mirage when I won my first (and last) SNG there, but at the WSOP and Venetian SNGs, I would just keep getting lammers without any tax.

IN 2012 I won a $325 SnG at the WSOP and got 6 lammers and $120 in cash as well as a tax form saying I had won $3120. This year I am bringing 1099 forms in case of chops.

Damn thats a lot of poker. Do you take a break or vacation after WSOP ends?

That question cannot be answered. How do you define best?

Largest? Weakest? Most attractive? Least likely to crack your AA with Q5o? Best-smelling? Etc, Etc.

I hope you guys come back with updates about how your plans are actually turning out. Reviews of rooms etc.

Then I guess the WSOP is out (ladies event notwithstanding). And I'm not a huge fan of the air-freshener they pump into the Venetian. And unless you like the smell of old carpet, then the downtown venues might be a put-off. I guess the answer is PH after all. I can't speak for the quality of the smell of the poker patrons, but after 8:00 pm they circulate air from the Pleasure-Pit below the Mezzanine and it helps.
