Just saw this pop up on my facebook and I thought a small vacation/poker might be fun. Anyone know anything about it? Ever done it before?

Sure, come on down. It's the first collaborative or, as I call it, "crosstown" series here, i.e., the two premier Portland poker clubs are co-hosting the four-day series. Two tournaments at each club. And they are far from each other, so if you are coming in from out of town you could stay near one but you'd have to figure out transportation to the other. We have good public transportation but not in the wee hours. Cabs and rental cars of course are available.
The best thing about Portland poker, including these tournaments, is that there is NO RAKE in tourneys or cash-game-like "shootouts." $10 cover charge is all you pay for the whole day. If you cash, make sure to tip the dealers about 10 percent of your net, since they receive no other compensation.
