Agree with whoever said to have a 6max event. All these series in the summer and not a single 6max event outside the WSOP.

Say what you will about the Harrah's and the WSOP, but they make a point of having a 6max event at every circuit stop.

I've been working with planet Hollywood to fix their structures. You're going to be amazed at what we came up with. Best structures on the strip for one day events.

We have updated our structure again after considerable amounts of feedback. Feel free to view the structure on our Twitter @PH_POKER.

But have they "fixed" the rake? Doesn't matter how good the structure is if the rake is still ridiculous. Still an easy skip otherwise.

Discussing that now. The structures are fixed though.

Indeed, quite an improvement! Kudos to you for listening; and a thank you to AK.
Now as another poster asked, what is the breakdown on rake?
I don't want to nit pick that too much as you are offering guarantees even on the small daily events; but it should be spelled out clearly.

Also are you having any daily events BEFORE the start of Phamous V?
Got some friends coming to town for just a few days and may bring them in for some small event.

Thanks

This is basically the WSOP main event structures. If they fix the rake down a bit I would play. Watch, now people will complain that the tournaments take too long to complete. Not now, but after the first few events.

Nice job on getting an excellent structure to them. Now if the rake gets lowered we might have another great option for smaller buyins during the summer.

Trying to get them to cut $5-10 off rake fees.

Terrific changes. Thank you, PH, for listening to player feedback. And thanks to Allen for helping them out!

I was looking for something to play the first weekend in June when I fly out...
The new Chainsaw approved structure nailed this one down for me.

I still see we've got several lemmings ready to leap over the cliff with the better structures/unchanged rake.

Maybe if you let PH charge you 50 percent rake you can set your own structures next year.

So has the PH rep posted hear or elsewhere what the rake breakdown is?
If not, give him/her a chance to let us know.

I'm following the thread and have seen nothing but the structure change mentioned.

Rio Megastacks $235= $45 vig
$185= $40 vig
$135= $35 vig

Planet Hollywood $200 =$42 vig( is this right ?)

Ever present 3% is not included.

Those guys stick together-can't buck central power; good luck Allen, in changing this.

Please note we have adjusted our Buy-In's as follows:

$100 = $77 + $23
$200 = $170 + $30
$300 = $258 + $42
$560 = $500 + $560

Also we only withhold 2% from Prize Pool for staff/dealers.

I suggested doing the rake after buyin. Ph makes the same money and players benefit.

Example $100+25
$200+30
$300+40
$500+60

With the new structure/fees I am fairly likely to play at least a tournament at PH this summer.

Change it to this fee structure and its pretty much a lock.

My only concern is that first place prize is 40 % of the guarantee; haven't been paying a whole lot of attention to this thread to this point. I want to play but I'll wait and see if they exceed the guarantees for I'd rather not play in a tourney that gives the winner 40%; too much for my pocketbook.

30% would have been more reasonable but I suppose, from another perspective, they are copying the main event with the 10 million first place which is out of the entrants pockets with Caesars/Planet Hollywood in their respective tourneys, taking no risk whatsoever.

Thank you to both Joe and AK for working this out. Be there for the duration beginning the end of May. I'll be sure and introduce myself.
Also will make this known to every player I come in contact with that has an interest in tournaments of this buy-in.

At $300 level it's still not as reasonable as the Wynn, but certainly better.

Joe_P, you wouldn't by chance be a well known Joe_P in blackjack circles would you?
