PCA JANUARY 6-14 2017 - WSOP and Tournament Circut

wow seriously, nobody has anything to say about a tourney starting in a few weeks? Isn't this usually one of the top tourneys of the year? Why wasn't there a thread for this before some lurker had to make a new account?? Poker is that dead?

Relatively few players who are going to go to the PCA who are first timers will be Americans, so there are very few English speaking players who need information or have questions about the tournament or location. Locations that have consistent turnout and very similar year over year structures are going to get very sparse threads in here-it will be places with either a very new event, or a ton of new players, that will receive posts.

Plus more people use the EPT thread to interact with Pokerstars personnel than individual tourney threads.

what is the cup? if you get knocked out of Day 1A of main event can u play day 1B??

The Main Event is a Freezeout to my knowledge without re-entries, so you can only enter one of either Day 1A or 1B

The Cup is a tourney with 10K chips starting and 4 flights on the 12th and 13th where you can buy in once per flight and each flight is played down to the bubble so that Day 2 on the 14th starts in the money. $440 per entry.

Has anyone used any type of grocery ordering service before? Looking to stock up a bit on "healthy" stuff

Also wouldn't mind recommendation on somewhere to go if I need to go offsite to do a grocery run as an alternative

I have attended PCA the last 2 years rebranded to PCB this year.. The resort is way overpriced unless you play tables games in the casino and get you room/food comped but that can get even pricier.

I have chosen to skip it this year and hit up Aussie millions and WPT Cambodia before that since I will be on that side of the world anyways.

It's decent around the resort if you have a room and can connect to it ... you pay for it with your resort fee... but in the poker room its drops all the time... I suggest scamming the PCB staff wifi, I did that last year and it was much better then the Players one. I just entered the back door to the poker room (the dealer area) and the SSID and PW is usually written on a whiteboard everyday.
