sandwich, the overall play was much more solid than I imagined it would be. one of the six experienced tournament players at the final table (I play cash games only) - a younger attorney from New York - said the field was significantly tougher than the Venetian deep stacks he played in.
beleive me i was there for three of the NL tournies. what pisses me more than anything about live these days is :
a. there are two or three people at every table like giving an analysis of every hand. blah blah, i c bet the flop, that turn was so sick etc. blah blah blah. like they are freaking Mike Sexton from the WPT.
b. calling out the fish or telling them how bad they play etc. some people just play for fun etc.
c. players who have a couple decent cashes and think they are superstars.
d. what's the worst is people who berate others for not wanting to deal (happens constantly now there should be a rule against it)
Its just a sad statement on live players that everyone wants to deal at the first chance they get when the final table is probably the most exciting/profitable part of a tourney. i seriously don't think one of the smaller buy in NL Mohegan tournies was played to completion without a deal which is straight up gay obviously.
