My only problem is that there is no mixed event holdem/omaha or even HOSE tourney. Other than that I very excited for this tournament. The spring showdown was fantastic and put the foxwoods wpt to shame. Keep it up MS. This is very good with the guarantees back in place. You learned your lesson with the winter and spring showdowns with the numbers that showed up

200 juice for a 2k buyin is simply WAY TOO HIGH in my opinion...i dont even think the borgata charges the full 10% on 2k buyins...the vig should be no more than 150 bucks IMO

The juice for most 5k events is about 150, so the 2k should be no more than 100.

Thank you for your post...you are correct $200 juice is a little high. That being said...the main event will be $2,150.00...$2,000 + $150...Information will be changed on the web site shortly.

Way to listen to your customers. Keep up the dialog and I will keep an eye open for the mixed event later in the year

Mohegan Sun is the place for tourneys you guys do a great job running the tourneys and listening to the players.

Yes...rates will be posted soon...rooms will be limited on property however due to the busy summer season...we are working with some local hotels for pricing...no more than 1 mile away with transportation.

The only problem I have with these events are the early start times. I final tabled the 350 buy in and couldn't wake up in time for the 1k buy in. I would love to see a 12 - 2 pm tournament start time.

I spaced out the guarantee's and stuck in a super satellite day prior to the main event to help with those issues...11am will most likely be a standard start time here at Mohegan Sun. Events consisting of two days (excluding the main event) will begin at 1:00pm

any speculation on how much 1st place will pay in the $700K guarantee

So I called last week for poker room rate for tourney like the last series a bunch of us played in. Poker room says to call back today to a lady names Leisha <sp?>. I call her today, leave her a message. She calls back fairly quickly and says rates are $149 and something like $219 for the weekend. Slightly, ok, like way more than the $49 we paid last series. But ok, summer, I understand. I say book me for 4 nights. No, she can't, sends me to VIP services. On hold for like 10 minutes, guy picks up I say I want the poker room rate for the poker tourney in July, he says hold you need to talk to Poker room. I say wait wait, I just got transferred form Leisha, from poker room, to you. He puts me on hold for 15 minutes, I have better things to do and eventually hang up.

Seriously, last time around so easy to book rooms Mohegan TM, whats up this time?! I mean, I'm no big shot by any means, but always have 2/3 friends with me, we stay for several nights, play 1-3 tourneys and I always play your 5-10 game. Which btw I'm still hoping we keep getting the FW 5-10 people over b/c MS room way nicer.

i would just wait a week or two to see if they post a poker rate.
i like the mohegan alot great structures for the last event treat their customers well.
i kind of like the 15K 40 minute concept best for 300 buy ins (last one might have been a bit too long 25k and 45 minute blinds 10k 30 mins is probably a tad fast.)

but overall, it seems like Mohegan actually wants the poker players at their tourneys unlike Foxwoods.

$150 is too high for the juice, it should be no more than $3.

Sorry for any miscommunication you may have had with the room rates. We just set the room rates on Wednesday and it will take a couple of days for VIP services to get all the information. The rates will be $149 Sun - Thur and $199 Fri & Sat, due to mid summer a little higher than in April. I believe the rate code is POKR09C, call 860-862-7500 ask for the Summer Showdown Poker Rate.

For every 8 people in the tournament, 1 player will get paid $2,000. If there are 800 people playing, the tournament will end when it gets down to 100 people and each will get $2,000. Foxwoods is running these tournaments all next week.

Any event which goes into a second day will begin at 1:00p.m. Prolific Tre is correct, for every 8 buy-ins 1 will win 2K, this is simply an additional way for those who are unfortunate to be knocked out of the ME to recover some of their buy in. Good Luck...
