Hi Poker Community,

The PokerStars EPT and FPS Deauville Prague Poker Festival will run from January 28 –February 7 and will attract the best players from around the world to do battle for millions of euros.

Tournament Highlights
A packed schedule of 45 separate events is on offer for players at the EPT Deauville Poker Festival which kicks off in northern France in January. As well as the €5,300 EPT Main Event, the schedule includes the €1,100 France Poker Series Main Event (with a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool), the €2k FPS High Roller (always super-popular with EPT players) and the €10k EPT High Roller.

The festival will also see a French debut for the €550 EPT Seniors event (open to players aged 50+) and the first ever €220 Grasel Sweets Superstack in France, sponsored by Suesswaren Grasel, our Official Chocolate Partner for Season 11. There will also be two €1k Hold’em “Championships” – the Fixed Limit Holdem event and Pot Limit Hold’em.
The festival returns to its familiar home at the beautiful City of Deauville and the International Conference Centre, annexed to the Casino Barriere.

For further information about the full Festival, check out the Blog showcasing all the highlights! (http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/tourna...d-152339.shtml )

At the bottom of the schedule on the EPT web site it way that "4% will be withheld from all events for government taxes." However there is no mention of the usual 3% for dealer and staff. Are player expected to tip dealers when they cash?

Hi CarlosChadha,

we don't take the 3% away for dealer and staff, because of the 4% tax.
Any extra tip is very welcome, but not expected.

Cheers

So they tell you they gonna charge us 14% rake instead of the usual 13% (of which 3% is sneakily disguised) and you ask if you should pay more? makes sense

ty for your answer.
13 tables seems pretty low, considering how much action there was in Prague just last week. Are there usually long lines?

Also: 4% rake is uncapped??? Then maybe I can see why 13 tables would be enough...

cash action is very low and you deduced well why

played 5/10 10/20 uncapped, paid like 500€ in under 6 orbits but luckily games were juicy enough, for a short while, to sustain that

No response here, registrations told me to email the casino, casino haven't replied.

It should surely be possible to just put all the buyin options/wire info on your website well in advance, just one table showing buyin method/who its available to/fees if any/extra info (eg. wire details, opening hours for card buyins desk). Make it easy to pay the rake!

People actually are so lazy that stuff like this actually does affect attendance.

Fwiw I thought Prague casino wire transfer process was excellent, the system of keeping an account that you can add/subtract money to at any point and wire back to your bank or take in cash when you want should be at all stops if possible. Make sure the desk is open when tournaments are starting though.
