Ya, points are a must. What happened to the big runners mohegan used to get 2-3 years ago. Great guarantees , add a 1100-1600 in there with a 250k+. I've been away from the CT poker scene for a while, what happened at mohegan?

Here is a look at the full schedule for the $500,000 Guaranteed Fall Showdown 2009

Wednesday, Nov. 18: Event No. 6 ($150 survivor no-limit hold’em)
Thursday, Nov. 19: Event No. 7 ($230 no-limit hold’em — $35,000 guaranteed)

After playing yesterday I realize now that the guy running the blog is dedicated, but unfortunately incapable on his own. He needs help. And apparently no employee of Mohegan is allowed to run a live stream per their gaming commission. Not sure why they don't contract out like Foxwoods w/ WhoJedi and VeeRob.

Thank you for the feedback, yes Chris does a great job on his own, however moving forward we are going to get a second person to assist him allowing for complete coverage of each event. As far as live streaming, beginning in August and going forward we will have a live streaming 360 degree camera feature table at every event. As part of the DeepStacks tour, this 360 live streaming coverage will be offered during all Mohegan Sun events as of our August Summer Showdown.

Thanks again for your feedback, please be assured we are always looking to improve our events.

Played both tourneys june 1st and the 1100 yesterday, it would have been nice to know it was a 2 day event which I didnt. Ended at 2 am and back at 12? No way I would have played. Very well run tournaments , dealers everything else.

Excellent point I played in a few of these events. Why can't the current events have $100K guarantees anymore or even $50K guarantees. The tournament series lately at mohegan are terrible. $10K guarantees and 100 players. I saw like top prize was $2,000 I mean come on. What happened?

Economy went south? Gas went through the roof. No comps for an 1100 tourney with 100 going to rake , I mean not even a meal voucher? At least give me a slurpie if I am paying 100 for rake lol. People don't have the spendable, disposable cash they did when the economy was strong few years ago. Not really that shocking is it?

fair enough but Borgatta gives out comps like its christmas in june. You play 15 hours of 1 2nl and have free room offers mid week. What does Mohegan sun give aside from 3 dollars at 2 5 nl. Mohegan needs to give same type of inscentives as Borgatta to get Borgatta type turnouts and it dosen't look like that is on the agenda. Not giving anything for 100 dollar rake tournament is not going to get people flocking in obv.

This is also true, AC in general is very liberal with their comps and there are also many casinos to compete with both in AC and PA. Get the poker players to come in fair comps/ offers and most of them will prob spew some cash across the table games etc.

On another tangent, Mohegan has the potential to be one of the best rooms on the east coast. From what I have seen, friends who frequent the room and even two friends who are dealers/ floor supervisors. Management simply does not care. This past week, supervisors were talking **** about players behind their backs. I actually got up to text on my phone(since Mohegan does not allow to use a phone at the table due to collusion amongst players, i understand) but the fact some mustached floor guy comes up to me just to say its nice that I follow the rules unlike some *******s is unprofessional. What made more more upset about the situation was the two minutes prior he chewed out my friend who just turned 21, playing for first time about using his phone at the table. Instead of informing him of the rule, he was berated. Customer service is key, a simple excuse me sir, but we do not allow the use of mobile devices at the table, we kindly ask the you step away from the table in the future if you choose to use your device. Simple!

very true about cash games. However in tournaments the guarantee is more important than getting a dinner voucher or something. If they had a 100K guarantee on some $400 events I would go instead of Borgata.

Re: Mohegan Sun Spring Showdown May 29 - June 3rd

I'm on long island & like MS & would come up once a month.
Would have loved to come up & play a few events in the Spring showdown.

But Borgata gives me free rooms Sun-Thurs just on my modest poker play.

And their Summer Open starting tomorrow starts with a $500+50DS w $100K guarantee.
