I recently qualified for the Michigan Poker Classic at Soaring Eagle. Besides Soaring Eagle being trash (which most people would agree), I think this is a soft tournament overall. They have three starting days with $1,100 buy in. 300 cap per day. I can't find any history on how many they got last year and I'm trying to determine which day would be best. I'm concerned about a low turnout on day one and I can't play day 2 due to other commitments.

Anybody have any history here in this tourney? Thoughts on playing day 1 vs. day 3?

Here's a link to the site where you can see structure and such. Appreciate your thoughts.

I don't see any results for last year (did they even have the event?). However, here are results for past events at this venue.

Just play day 3. Havent lived in MI for 5 years or so, but from what I remember all days usually have a relatively decent turnout. (for all of their multi-day events)

They've always had bad structures, and this is no different. As bad of a structure that I've seen for a regional 1k-ish main event.

Last event was the Spring Poker Series in May of this year i think. Also was a 1k main with 150k gtd. Only 138 runners. Overall a total **** show.

I qualified on July 30th in a mega. It only had 8 runners and one reentry. Paid one spot. The Saturday tourney paid 2 so I was the third qualifier overall.
