Also, they are running mega's which are just like survivor tournaments:
8am - $75 mega / $550 payouts

The Single Table Satellites and mega satellites both payout in lammers (tournament buy-in chips) which can easily be sold at face value to players registering for tournaments.
Jose covered most of it. Buyins are as low as $65 or $75 I think, and as high as $2K. Chops are the norm.
People also tend to have last longers going for side action. These are not in any way discouraged by management, but they will be 100% administered by the players participating. Usually one guy will hold the money (they are allowed to keep the money right on the table).
Don't count on the STTs running during the first few hours of the huge WSOP events, like colossus, milly maker and monster stack. Also, as it gets closer to start of Main Event, they tend to run fewer of the low buyin STTs.
