the incompetence of LAPT staff drives me crazy. Sunday 215 package sat cancelled with 4 people regged (need 5) while TWO $22 microsats were running to it at the same time. This has literally happened hundreds of times over the past years
not event staff, I'm guessing they have nothing to do with it - but whoever runs the online qualifiers, this really has been happening for years, with nothing ever done about it. LAPT numbers have been steady dwindling over the years, and its no surprise when people aren't able to qualify for the events

To be fair the LAPT was the last of the tours to fall of the cliff for online satellites. But last season after Panama was the beginning of the end for this tour. Instead of re-investing in it to regain players they went the opposite route by making further cuts. These tours can't be viewed as money makers but as loss leaders. Cutting off player bags/welcome parties is a massive mistake... regardless of what "data" says. Players may not like going to these parties or players may not like the welcome bags but will view the site as "cheap" if they aren't provided.
hello, I heard LAPT was ending for 2017, or merging at some other type of tour. Any idea when schedules or more info will be released? Looking specifically for LAPT chile which is usually early march, and hoping it doesn't overlap with Carnavale
My understanding is that there will be no more Chile LAPT.
LAPT, EPT, APPT and PCA have been merged to form Pokerstars Championships and Festivals starting January 2017. Panama will be the only Latin America stop, March 10th-20th.
Just as an FYI to the community, as part of the change to PokerStars Championship and PokerStars Festival we will be closing down the LAPT and UKIPT threads and renaming the EPT thread to refer to PokerStars new live events.
