nice first post
who cares when you have a monopoly on the industry and can do whatever you want?

tbh I don't see running the Bahamas sats as cannibalizing the South American Market anymore then running EPT sats. It's 2 different markets. Although it is an LAPT stop it wasn't part of the original plan as Uruguay got cancelled at the last minute and it's not easy to scramble to find a new venue with so little time. So instead of cancelling the Grand Finale they chose a safe route by adding it to the PCA. Which is better than having no tourney.

2 sats a week isn't going to sway too many players to stop playing for Peru imo.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your feedback, I can see how you feel and did not expect that effect. When we choose, we aim to balance the offer. We did not want to sacrifice Peru over Bahamas, that needs to be clear. We simply introduced sats to Bahamas, on a very limited way, as there was some demand for that, and I think that is ok. This last week, we focused the efforts on the last Sunday, as we have also introduced some free roll promotions as we have deployed a 5 seat guaranteed this Sunday which I hope helps for this last week.

I think that LAPT Bahamas is an event that will be appealing to a lot of Latam players, as well as worldwide, and even though is a new event, I think is going to be one of the highest value events we have ever presented, as the size of the field and the setting are going to be very strong.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Lima,

David

Will LAPT Bahamas sat be available with no rebuy at 215 or 320$ for example?
Hello,

We do have an LAPT-Bahamas at 15:00 ET on Sundays, which coincides with the bigger PCA sat. The first one was last Sunday, and it performed well, almost making 2 packages. I believe that once more players realise it's there, it'll grow.

Regards
David

Hi Tony,

Sorry for the delay, I was checking with the casino. They passed this on:

5-5 Min Buy in 200.00
5-10 Min Buy in 500.00
10-20 Min Buy In 1000.00
25-50 Min Buy In 5000.00

Omaha 10-20 or 5-10 with Buy In $2000.

Rake is 3% with a max of $50 per hand. Games will be played in either local Soles or Us Dollars. On each case stakes are the same.

Cheers
David

Hi Gerardo,

The Casino will run a daily sat, at 8p.m. on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Sunday is $100 and the rest of the week is $150. All of them have un limited re entries and add on. Sunday chips are 10k and 20k for the add on and the rest of the week is 15k and 25k.

There are also some feeders at 6pm, so it seems quite accessible.

We will run our own Super Sat on day 1A (Wednesday) in the afternoon.

Hello David
question on the LAPT Bahamas 7-9 jan 2015
Do we have to register with 3000$ in cash at the place of the event, or any possibility to register in advance (wire transfer?)
Any chance to have a live satellite on jan 5 or 6 ?
Thank you

Hi,

You may wire the funds in advance if you want. Email registrations@pslive.com and they can guide you through the process.

All satellites will be online at this point, we are not logistically prepared to host a live satellite the day before. none the less, I will take the comment to the rest of the team and look into it.

Cheers
David

Hello Gerardo, guys,

It is going to take about one month to announce the new schedule. We are incorporating many new things, from destinations to formats, and is taking some time to tie all ends. I can advance that after LAPT Bahamas, next event will be LAPT Chile in mid March at the wonderful Enjoy property in Viña del Mar.

I can't find exactly what the package consists of for LAPT bahamas. I already won a package for PCA, so I don't really want an extra 4 nights or whatever. If I win a LAPT seat can I get cash value for the hotel room or am I stuck playing seat only sats?

Hi,

If you don't mind, email robertoc@pokerstars.com and explain the case. Mention that I replied to you on 2p2. I will let him know right away.

Cheers

Thanks David. Looking forward to seeing the schedule. It would be helpful if you could leak the LAPT Chile dates for March if you already have them locked in with Enjoy...I'm trying to plan around a vacation

This. I also need the exact date for the viña del mar stop, so I can take my vacations during that week

I have to be honest and say the satellites for LAPT Bahamas are really quite unimaginative. Your satellite program for all other LAPT stops has been the best out of any Live Tour and by a huge margin so I'm a little surprised that this stop isn't trying different avenues as they have in the past.

Hi, You can wire in advance no problem, just email registrations@pslive.com for details. A Satellite is not going to be possible at this time due to the scheduling of that first day. We start LAPT Bahamas a day later than I would like due to the scheduling of all dealers arriving etc. For next year we will likely change and start earlier and probably include a satellite as well.
