I've attended the past few hpts and after some discussion with the new management team, got them to revise their structures. The new structure compares well with competing events. They added four or five new levels and were more than accommodating.

This should be in place as soon as Colorado the middle of this month, but definitely by st Louis later In the month.

First 9 levels 40 mins next 9 levels 50, then one hour levels 25k starting chips. The antes are still being finalized, but every level is included in the new structure. There are no green chips in play which is why I added 200-300 per veerob.

They basically added every possible level in order to remove the stigma of having crapshoot events. I think this new structure will be great, and the final tables should have much more play rather than a series of short stacked allins.

Nice. I may actually go play in them again.

Forgot to add that to accommodate traveling pros they are extending the late reg and reentry each day one through the dinner break. With the extra early levels there will still be plenty of play at that point should you bust or arrive late.

Comparing what you posted with what is on their website the only new levels are 200/300 and 1200/2400.

The times and starting times are already listed as you say.

Obviously not going to complain about any improvements, but where are the rest of the "4-5 new levels"?

Yeh it still is skipping 5-6 levels that most tourneys have.

12000 24000 is new we added that a few events ago. Compared to last year it's much better I don't have the levels in front of me to compare to.

And those start with 25k chips as well? I doubt it....

No most start with 20K but it is better to have the extra levels than the extra 5K. You are right they have improved their structure but it could still be better and it would not add but 4-5 hours to the tourney to have a great structure.

They have to get thru 800+ players in venues like Colorado. The events already take over 25 hours to play out.

So most main events take 3 days/30+ hours anyway.

It would be better on a player aspect to add 3-4 levels and drop starting chips to 20K.

Considering how difficult it was to accomplish what I did, I think it's a great compromise. These were two day events two years ago
