I do not know about you,but I do not think I could ever sell my bracelet nor could I buy one and wear it. How egotistical it would be to wear someone's else trophy. It would be like bringing another trophy someone else won and using it as your card protector.

Even if I was running bad and needed money my bracelet would be the last thing I would sell.

Things like Heisman Trophies are sold all the time when people go on hard times. I think everyone who wins a bracelet has a price in which they would sell it, but not everyone would be willing to sell it for what it's worth today.

That said, I wouldn't buy one and don't know why people would. At best I could see it like sports memorabilia.

Yeah, I would only buy it as a collectors item, and really prefer the older bracelets when Neiman Marcus was making them in the late 80's thru the late 90's time till Jack Binion sold, or let his sister take over the running and ownership of the WSOP. The Neiman Marcus are the classiest. I played poker with a dude last night at Redrock who won the Seniors event in 2008. I congratulated him, but the bracelet looked pathetic. The money was great tho, he won approx 380K aprox, and its close to 500K this year. They have cheapened the value of winning a bracelet by having so many events, but they SHOULD make the bracelets way more classier and more expensive. I mean, with all the money and advertising they get from the WSOP, why are the bracelets, SO cheap looking, other than the ME bracelet.

In 2009, TJ Cloutier sold two of his bracelets to a pawn shop in Plano Texas, near his home. His wife was out of town and he wanted to go to Shreveport to play craps. He never redeemed the bracelets the shop sold them on eBay in January of 2010.

An online poker site bought them and returned them to TJ.

Since he was coming into the casino I work in at that time, a couple of players asked him about it. He wasn't real happy to talk about it but he explained why he pawned them and how he forgot to go back and get them out.

I think the bracelets brought about $4K or in that neighborhood.

David Eastgate also sold his main event bracelet on eBay and donated some of the sales price to charity.

Quite the coincidence. A guy named Peter Eastgate won the main event a few years ago.

His real name is Peter but I call him David, it's a poker thing.

i doubt I would even wear my bracelet at the table if I won 1.. i just think if u wear 1 at the table your trying to prove something to ur table.. i hate people who wear their circuit rings at the table and make sure that everyone knows what event it was for..

Really, I mean who cares that someone excelled at their chosen pastime and won something that proves it? I'm sure if a stranger came your game and mentioned sinnig the XYZ Circuit event, you would instantly believe him, right?

I won a 1500$ event this year. The WSOP staff were insisting that the normal (non ME) bracelets were worth - or selling for - anywhere from 2-4k. After examining values of gold, rubies and sapphires, and then weighing the bracelet on a jewelry scale, I'd say it's worth somewhere in the ballpark of 900$ worth of raw materials. I suppose it's worth whatever someone wants to pay for it. That being said, I'm not a tournament player and don't measure myself based on WSOP success, so I'm open to offers
