What's the hotel situation like? Looked on the horseshoe website and didn't see any rates for partner hotels but see a few shuttles run every night. Assuming it's safe to walk back and forth between whatever hotel and the casino?

I haven't played a HORSE tournament since Delaware Park stopped running them. I'll be there next month too.

Seems strange the day before the main starts (Thurs) the only tourney is a seniors event. Could at least slide a turbo in.

No but there are a ton downtown. The Horseshoe has agreements with a couple of them. The Renaissance Hotel is pretty nice in the Inner Harbor and The Four Seasons in Harbor East is obv super nice but pricey. There's a little really nice bed and breakfast in Federal Hill called The Scarborough Fair Inn. Great value there. I'm not sure what the other Inner Harbor hotels are like but a friend of mine works at The Sheraton and says it's pretty decent. They're all about a 5-8 dollar cab to the casino. Some of them have free shuttles.

The Holiday Inn express on Russell street is the only one that is right next to the hotel. If coming for a couple days, id prob stay there, If coming for more then that Id stay in the inner harbor.
