"Players will receive Tier Points and Reward Credits for play. There will be up to a two week delay before points are
awarded."

There will be 35 “live” cash tables in the Harrah’s Cherokee Event Center. All poker during this event will be housed in the
Event Center. The poker room will be closed during this event, and with it, all of our digital “PokerPro” tables.

These are from the Cherokee website from the WSOP FAQ's
not sure how i feel about that, sort of bitter sweet i suppose. while i prefer cards, chips, and a dealer I also appreciate the speed of play and no tipping at the electronic tables.

It would be difficult to award points for cash game play while playing on the temporary tournament tables. It's always a fun stop with good attendance! Hopefully I can bag up flight 1c so I don't have to play flight 1d so I can play the turbo Saturday afternoon.

good find and wow. interesting decision for them.

only advantage I can see is some labor savings (one cage vs two, reduced floor?), but at the expense of running out of tourny tables. event center will be hopping for sure.

cant wait,

The Event Center will be nuts (in a good way) with all cash being played in there with tournaments. Can't wait to get there this weekend.

after thinking more about this change, aside from benefit to casino of cost savings, prob good for players as well as will allow to keep stronger and more varied game mix up and running if managed in one room.

confirmed tonight max rake for 1-2 is $7....and that 1-2 live (no poker pro) has been dealt for the past few months at cherokee. This was news to me - was there in July and no live 1-2 only poker pro.

This sucks. I was just planning on grinding some 1/2 and there is no way that paying that rake is profitable. I might just cancel my hotel reservations for the next few nights.

Oh yeah, I forgot this was why I'm driving 4.5 hours through treacherous mountain roads and lodging with a stranger from airbnb. Good call

That's my point. You can play cash whenever you want. You only get a few chances to win 6 figures within a few hours driving distance. I for one will be using the "keep shoving and buying back in until I am the chip leader" strategy.

how many times do you expect that to be? and I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just curious how many buy ins most expect to invest in this.

nit ^

no clue on laundry...I'd imagine the resort has a service? and possibly pay per use machines.

there is a food lion within 1-2 miles of cherokee...its as cheap as it gets.

Do yourself s favor and go to grannys kitchen buffett..best country cooking within 100 miles. about $12 person with drink. its about .5 mile from harrahs and can be walked easily
