Also, is there a GN list of winners? They are not reporting it to Card Player and would like to see who the few players did after I my exit. That part is disappointing when a major tournament director doesn't report those in the money.
On the last point, they appear to be picked up by Bluff magazine online about a week after the fact. I agree it is disappointing that they are not up earlier.

Another reason not to play this series, in case there weren't enough:

I think calling for a gaming control agent over a deal to pay the bubble is a little extreme there. Sounds like OP escalated the situation quite a bit.

That being said, once it did reach that point, I'm not surprised to hear the shadiness (supposedly) displayed by the Nugget people.

I think once vulgarities are sent a player's way and the dealer and staff are doing nothing about it, calling the NGC isn't that bad of a move.

...Especially when they are acting like they are an NGC agent and are not.

That's pretty absurd. Hard to believe that isn't against some kind of law, guy should immediate lose his job.

Unreal that they blind off empty seats for the first level and half then take the stacks off the table. Allows for all kinds of shady bs between staff and regs/friends. First and last tourney for me here. Makes no sense at all.

took the day off to play something small and yes they did blind off empty seats then take those chips off the table...two other guys at my table were not pleased with it either, but both sounded like they've played there before and will continue doing so. not me, this poker room is way too shady

While I empathize with the poster, and defend his right to play in a respectful environment and his feeling of the floors misreported "agents", I don't get how he thinks he's entitled to any money, let alone around 3rd place money. It's your right to turn down a deal but you should then expect the target on your back (some welcome/relish it), and as he acknowledged he was excluded from the 6th place deal. He also acknowledged that his calling an agent was semantic and largely unnecessary. Essentially it seems like he's looking for anyone to blame for his not making the money other than himself. Clearly the management behaved in a ****ty manner in not protecting him from other players verbal abuse and should have not sandbagged on calling gaming but this doesn't entitle you to compensation.

I think you are missing the key point. The remaining players made a deal without OP's agreement. This should not be allowed and can theoretically result in lost equity for the OP. The floor was alerted to this but refused to stop it. That is why he believes he is owed compensation.

I thought they paid out of their pocket rather than altering the prize pool ?

You know those tournament rules of "no exposing cards" and "no talking about the hand" and "no checking back the nuts"? They enforce them very harshly in many venues, even though they are just simple mistakes 95-99% of the time. The main reasoning behind those rules is to avoid even the hint of collusion. That most venues police it this strongly shows how serious of a negative effect collusion can have, especially at the final table.

Now take OPs example, where the whole table was openly colluding against him. It's completely unfair to him and he should at least have had the floor's support on this. There may not have been much the floor could do if the other players were all subtle about the collusion, but the floor could (should) have said that they were going to start handing out harsh penalties at the first hint of collusion talk.

surprised not a larger reaction to the very likely possibility that there will always be extra, unaccounted for chips in play. completely unacceptable without any reasonable and logical explanation and there doesn't seem to be one.
