Not exactly entertaining, but to their credit, I got a response to my questions about a) Why any pics of former Full Tilt Pros and b) Especially, why would they want to appear to be associated w/ Howard Lederer. The email response is below:
Thank you for your e-mail. Let me start by saying that the pictures you have mentioned are now no longer on the GN website. As for the reason they were there is that they were older pictures form past years. Not to do with anything Full-Tilt but for a very worthy charity tournament for Boys and Girls Club that we have run in the past as part of the GPS. This particular charity was supported by some of the FT players. Each year we do a variety of charity events during the GPS as well as other times of the year as well and we done a great deal to support various organizations.
However your comments about those particular pictures were considered and yes, have now been removed. I do hope that this rather speedy response and corrective actions help re-store your confidence in the Golden Nugget and The Grand Poker Series. We do pride ourselves on being a very respectful company as well as community active in numerous charitable ways.
Again sir, I thank you for your e-mail and for your insightful view point. I do hope that you will give us a try this summer and either way I do wish you the best of luck in your tournament play.
Regards,

On the upside, maybe we can all rationalize that at least some of our stolen money supported the Boys and Girls club!
