Great additions, thanks again for listening!!

Just don't schedule the PLO heads-up so that it clashes with another PLO tournament somewhere and everything should be good.

+1 to a HU PLO best 2 of 3 format! $300 range is fine (though I wouldn't mind higher- as long as it's not a $240 tourney).

June 25 and June 29 both have a bunch of PLO and PLO8 tourneys from all venues around them, yet those dates are empty at any venue for any non-NLHE tourney (other than the $10k stud8 on the 25th and the $10k PLO 8-max on the 29th, but I don't think you need to worry about those...).

+1. You could maybe do it the week of the $565 WSOP PLO, but you wouldn't want to be up against Day 1 of that event.

29th for PLO HU and 30th for NLH HU may be the best options. Both 1pm starts. Thoughts?

1 pm starts = fine, June 29/30 a bit late but will sell out anyway I think!

5/29 and 5/30 or 6/29 and 6/30?

While being one of the supporters for the NLHE HU event, the $500 + juice price point is a bit beyond the bankroll for many. Why not $300 and getting a larger field? (theoretically)

Trying to keep both fields manageable as they are late additions and my schedule is pretty packed.

And this would be in June...

Good plan, will sell out for sure (although they probably sell out no matter where you put them)

When playing poker in tournaments this summer, can everyone mention to other casinos how great Chris is? Hopefully they will either step up their tournament management, or better yet, notice how good he is and hire him away from Caesar's who doesn't appreciate him.

Reading between the lines, it seems Chris is pulling off this tournament in spite of Caesar's, not because of them. Remember last year when twitter was the only place to get the structures and schedule? Now this year its on a google drive? My guess is that's what Chris had/has access too and is doing his best to get it to us. WSOP had a staff of graphic artists and admins to hammer out and post the structure sheets. I think Chris is doing this by himself with Excel and MS Paint.

Not a knock on Chris, a knock on Caesar's. If you could somehow leak the email/name of someone higher up that has power to give you more resources we would be more than happy to sing your praises and apply some pressure to help you out.

Knowing a few of the TDs in town, I can tell you they all use Excel and have scant resources when it comes to marketing. And every one of them pulls off whatever series they offer in spite of the powers that be in their domains. I don't believe the WSOP cares what goes on in other venues and would not be interested in sharing resources. And I'm pretty certain Caesars, overall, doesn't care what goes on poker-wise in non WSOP venues either. Poker is small potatoes.

The latest evidence... the PH poker room has been moved, once again, this time near the middle of the main gaming floor. This is a decent locale to stare at the Pleasure Pit girls, but is pretty abysmal for poker given how loud it is in the evenings. Frankly I'm surprised they are taking up such premium gaming real-estate. I would not be surprised if the poker room will once again be shuffled into some dark corner, or perhaps back into the middle of a restaurant line, in the not-too-distant future.

All that being said, Chris has a relative sweet set-up for his series up in the Mezzanine. My judgement of how Chris is doing will not be driven by his access to fancy websites or other marketing resources, but rather how big his guarantees and field sizes are. With that much space available, its Chris' skills at scheduling events that will be critical. On paper, it looks like he has improved over last year. Let's see if that's the case in reality this summer.

Been following this thread for some time. This heads up tournament prompted me to register on here and post haha. Will be in Vegas with a few poker buddies during week of 6/8 and 6/9 to play in millionaire maker that weekend. All of us would love playing in a lower buyin HU tourny(both nlhe and plo) in the $300-500 range. Please make it this week on Wednesday/Thursday 6/8-6/9!!! Thanks Chris!!!

Hi Chris,

I assume this will be played on L2/Mezzanine. I played the WSOP Circuit earlier this year and depending on your table- the lighting was terrible. No one could see suits/etc.

Will you do anything about the poor lighting?

Book it;
PLO heads up 32 players max $300 + $50 June 29th at 1pm. Plays best of 3 format - 10K chips per round 10 minute levels starting at 100 - 200.
NLH heads up 64 players max $520 + $80 June 30th at 1pm. Single elimination format until final 4 players remain which will be best of 3 for the final 2 rounds. 10K chips per round 10 minute levels starting at 100 - 100.

These will be events "HU1" and "HU2." This way we don't have to renumber all of the events and create any confusion. We will be releasing the full flyer and updated structure sheet around the end of next week.

How late is registration open for the 600k and main event? Don't see anything on structures.

Then don't play. This is perfect - we get the mixed games we ask for - which are the same as WSOP is offering - and there's still whinging. Wow.

Chris, a couple years ago I played one of your festivals and when were down to 8 players all players agreed to discuss a chop... But PH personnel stated they would not support claiming it as house rules.

Can you please clarify what is PH's current stance (and anticipated for this event) on supporting players that agree on a chop?

The chop policy during GOLIATH 2015 was that we allowed a chop as long as the players agreed to end the tournament at that time. No alterations of the prize pool were allowed if the tournament was to continue. This was to protect the players and the house.

As for 2016 I don't know what direction we will go. If it's entirely up to us we will use the same policy, waiting for direction from above.
