Regardless of how you calculate the % of the rake (calling it 13.4% is the less common way, imo), I'm still looking for value:
WSOP $500+$65 (13%) - 30 minute levels day 1, 60 days 2/3/4
GN $500+$70 (14%) - No structure info I can find
DSE $522+$78 (14.9%) - 40 minute levels throughout, 60 mins at FT
PH $520+$80 (15.4%) -30 minute levels, 45 day 2, 60 min day 3

You have all of the levels which gives maybe a 1 level advantage over the other places but the structures are roughly the same. And your rake remains higher. The Venetian structure remains better at slightly lower rake and the WSOP structure is certainly better at significantly lower rake.

Given that the structure is worse and the rake is higher, the tournaments I was considering at PH this summer will be replaced by those over at the Venetian. Which isn't a pleasing statement to say, but is true.

Chris, I may be missing it, but I don't see the stack size and blind times for the quantum events.

I guarantee you a lot of people will play it if you add it in the schedule or at least tweet about it the week of (like say 3-4 days before.)

I'm very interested in a NLHE HU Event in the $150-$250 range!
These events are very rare and they would be a great success at a low-mid buy-in level if they were only offered more often!

the HU event should be a $500+rake to get 32 players. Make it 64 max. Check out LAPC structure for their $570 HU event.

The "Ultimate Goliath Stack" event from June 21-24 appears to be good value. You get 40 minute levels right from the start, and way more chips (30k) than the regular $600 Goliath events, but with the same $520+$80 rake.

NLHE much preferable. I like PLO fine, but more skill in HU NLHE methinks.

If you do PLO how about a best 2 out of 3 format. I think it will play fast enough with people getting it in early and often.

I could go for that idea. Hate one and done PLO.

9 handed or 10 handed ?

About PLO HU, you can do it as a triple chance. The players have three bullets and can choose their starting stack. Would not take more time than 2 out of 3 play.

Most events will start 9 handed or balance down to 9 handed when reg closes. Always depends on how many available tables we have, lines, etc...

Heads up supporters have spoken. Going to try and find a place for a HU NLH event in the $500 range and hopefully the following day a HU PLO in the $300 range. NLH will be 64 players max and PLO will use a best 2 of 3 format and be 32 players max. What dates are we looking for?

All sounds great; thanks for being receptive to feedback. The first thing I did when opening the schedule was to look for the headsup tournament and I was disappointed when I didn't see it. I would consider playing both the NL and PLO.
