Certainly not, only differing "condition" would be break time for 7pm flights. However I'm leaning towards less levels played / no dinner break for weekday events with 3p and 7p flights since the restart is 4p the following day.

So far 2 or 3 people have mentioned this...see my recent post. If enough people get on me about it I will find a spot for one.

Also I love trying out new games/formats and will surely be playing at least one Exposed NLH event.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to us!
Still pondering how each DC will work. I'd like to differentiate each of them a bit. I'm open to suggestions!

Thanks for showing how well PH has fooled people. Is it because your get a bigger starting stack that you assume they are better structures? GN progresses the length of levels throughout the tourney and make the tourneys 9 handed on day 2. PH has far small shorter levels and they skip some levels as well.

But way to prove my point mate.

Let me ask this:

What's a better structured MTT for deepstack play?

The Monster Stack - 15k starting stack/60 min levels

Or

The Extended Levels (Or whatever name the WSOP put on it this year) 7500 starting stack/90 min levels?

It's the point I'm trying to prove, has nothing to do with the WSOP.

Buy-in : between 250$ and 500$ is fine IMO.
I assume that would be capped to 64 entrants?
Best week would be just after WSOP Colossus (so Wed 8 or Thursday 9), but schedule it after the WSOP Monster Stack would be fine as well (Wed 29 or Thursday 30).

Below is the blind structure that we will use for non turbo events. This structure will be used for daily NLH events with buy ins of $100, $130, and $180. This will also be used for all "GOLIATH events," "Almost GOLIATH events," PLO variations (no antes), ININJA, and of course the main event. Some additional info has already been announced regarding starting stacks and blind times on the flyer. We will try and get starting stack and blind length info announced by the end of the week for all events.

Chris has already said that the structures are "Chainsaw approved" like last year and this being the case, one will be hard pressed to find a better structure "patience wise".

My problem last year was that the 30 minute level tournaments lasted until late in the morning, due to this very structure, but I like it and will play again. There's no BS here and we are all able to pick our poison without being called fools by the likes of you.

Wait for the structures and like everyone else take a look, all us "fools" will, for sure.

I played 2 DC events last summer + the WSOPC DC in November. Really enjoyed them and glad to see 2 new DC events on the 2016 schedule.

A 130$ buy-in won't hurt the bankrolls (did you intend to allow re-entries? would be a good idea with this buy-in) so I assume many players will take a shot, mainly to have fun and enjoy rare games. So let's have fun and add some crazy games, even some not included in the WSOP Dealers Choice event!

My suggestion, the sweet sixteen games:
- the 5 HORSE games
- NLH, PLO, PLO8, NLO
- Badugi, 2-7 Triple Draw, 2-7 No Limit Single Draw, Ace to Five
- Irish Poker (4 cards preflop, fold 2 after the flop)
- Badacey
- P "Hell" O : played as PLO except 666 = the absolute nuts, better than Royal Flush! Kickers don't play with 666 so you can split the pot. Very funny game with huge bluff opportunities when a 6 is on the board!

My only concern here is how the dealers could handle it? They have to feel comfortable with the different games, if not it would be bad for dealers and players. If you think you can have some seasoned dealers for this event, go with the crazy games! If not, HORSE + NLH + PLO + PLO8 + 2-7 + Badugi will do it anyway!

Chris, I appreciate you.

You were dealing cards to me 6,7 -8 years ago at Ballys low stakes cash games. Then the transition to PH, now look at you.

Good job w/ the tournaments and your long term commitment to high quality customer service. Very nice sir!

P "Hell" O...wow. Whoever invented this game was mad at life. And Irish seems interesting. I remember a game that I read about a while back. It was 4 cards preflop with limit betting. After the flop you discarded 1 and betting was limit again with doubled limits. Turn was Pot Limit with an additional discard. River was NL. I could be mixed up, after flop may have been Pot Limit with turn and river NL. Either way I found it intriguing. Think the creator's name was Max something?

A suggestion would be to add a few odd games to one of the dealer's choice tournaments and make the other Paradise Pick'em. It seems that this was chosen by 2+2 as their mixed game of choice at PCA 2012. This would mean that one DC would be for the adventurous who want to try new games and one would add a new wrinkle to the old tried and true games. As one person stated back then on 2+2, if holdem is picked it should be played "crazy pineapple" style: throw the card back after the flop.

Paradise Pick'em
Any mixed game player has cursed their luck looking down at rolled up Kings in Razz, or heard the player next to them complain "If this was XXXX instead, I'd have the nuts!!!".
Paradise Pick'em looks to solve that problem.
The structure of this tournament would be that of a limit H.O.R.S.E tournament.
Each player is dealt 3 cards. The player on the button looks at their 3 cards and decides whether this hand will be played as Hold'em, Omaha 8 or Better, Razz, 7 card Stud, or 7 card Stud H/L.
If they pick Hold'em each player must discard 1 card.
If they pick Omaha 8 or Better each player is dealt 1 more card.
If they pick Razz, Stud, or Stud H/L each player must expose a card of their choice (starting with the player to the left of the button) as their "door:".
The hand then plays out as it would in the game of choice, with blinds being posted or antes/bring ins being paid. After the hand the button moves to the left as usual.
This game adds a ton of strategic layers to the mixed game format.

Chris, one comment and one question. First, I would play the HU event anywhere from $300 to 1k buy in if it were the first week in June some time. Second, for the Goliath million on 6/5, how late will the 4pm and 7pm flights last? Thanks!

wow...seems like a fun cash concept but from a tourney operations perspective it will be a hard sell.

Since the RIO and PH are both owned by Caesar's, why not make the May 30th a WSOP preview. The WSOP 1500 DC runs June 5th and some players might not want to play because they're not familiar with all 19 games. They can play your 100+30 in order to get their feet wet with those games that they are not familiar with. That way, they may be more likely to try the WSOP DC on the 5th.

+1. I love TDChrisG being active on 2+2, but I will have to play the lower-raked tournaments at WSOP, Golden Nugget, Venetian, etc. instead, just like last year.

I think you're right. I looked up the results for the 2012 PCA. Despite being 2+2 approved they only got 27 entries for Paradise Pick'Em.

Can't wait!

My pops and I are headed out June 2nd for a week. We saw the venetian, GN, and WSOP schedules and were anxiously awaiting for the PH schedule to fill in some holes. It looks like it does more than fill in some holes. Other than 1 or 2 bullets at the collosus I think we'll do all our playing here. For a couple of rec NLHE players that are looking to play a good number of tourneys in the 100-600 range, this schedule is perfect.
