For me it would be Colossus. No brainier.

1. Field is pretty weak - there's a cast of thousands having their single crack at the WSOP.
2. There's an atmosphere there that's probably only exceeded (anywhere in poker) by the WSOP ME - particularly pertinent if you've never played a WSOP event before.
3. Despite all the predictions of it being a train wreck, I thought it was pretty well run last year (my only issue was in relation to prereg - firstly an incoming fee on my TT, and then finding my ticket (15 mins or so)). Once I sat down, no complaints.
4. Juice less on Colossus.
5. Huge prize pool (yes bigger field, but if you want to win the big bucks...) - last year Colossus was approx 10x bigger than Goliath.

So are you saying different Day 1s will have different playing conditions (level lengths or amount of levels played), but will then join on Day 2???

Just wanted to add my two pennies worth and they are that I really like the schedule and I will play all my non WSOP events here. No risk of me giving any money to the Venetian this summer.

And do you provide the shurikens? They're illegal in California so I don't have any of my own.

TDChrisG can you add a $580 or $1100 HU tournament? For the people that might wanna play that but can't really afford the $10k WSOP HU?

What games are offered in the dealer's choice tournaments? Really hoping for Badeucey/Badacey and especially NL 2-7 Single Draw.

Like others, I'm also interested in how the two team tournaments work (events 84 and 88).

Also I love trying out new games/formats and will surely be playing at least one Exposed NLH event.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to us!

Blah the Mixed PLO event was a great idea (and has been getting positive feedback from both the WSOP and Venetian threads)- I meant maybe pick a better date, not change it to a Triple Draw Mixer event!

Disagree. During the summer players will have PLENTY of options for playing PLO, and some rooms will offer PLO8 and BigO tournaments.
This Triple Draw Mixer will probably be the only tournament for Lowball players outside of WSOP, so kudos PH, I think we should support variety in schedules.

Last year, during the summer events you could choose between Limit Hold'em, No Limit Hold'em, PLO, Omaha Hi-Lo, Razz, Stud, Stud 8, and Triple Draw 2-7.
During the WSOP-C in November they added Badugi, PLO8 and BigO if I remember correctly.
We'll see what Chris choose this year but obviously more games, more fun!

I support the idea of a Triple Draw Mixer event- I just wished he kept the Mixed PLO event instead of replacing it. 3 Mixed PLO(of some kind) events this summer, one each at the WSOP, Venetian, and Golden Nugget, and all have been getting positive feedback. PLO (and other variants) tourneys may not be uncommon, but Mixed PLO is unique.

I concur with all of the above.

I'm local, so didn't have any registration issues, did it early, was very smooth.
$500-$600 level buy-ins are "big" for me, so this is my WSOP ME.
Last year's Colossus was my very first bracelet event...it was a great atmosphere. Specific to this event, I found the floors responded pretty quick to empty seats, or for ruling requests, despite the massive sea of players.
My only complaint is...not making the money...but that's on me

Structure is a big factor for me, the Colossus now has only 30 min rds on day 1 w/ 5k chips, it's gonna play pretty fast. Hoping the Goliath structure will be better & reason enough to play it instead. Also, logistically i think it will be less of a mess than the Colossus zoo.

Above is the updated link which corrected a few of the errors in event numbering as previously mentioned. Lock this one in. Only other change that I am pondering is adding a Heads Up Event. IF I do it will be an un-numbered event. This will avoid confusion for future flyers and for those who simply log event numbers they are considering playing.

So last chance to sell me on a HU event. Curious as to when most players will be in town to support this and what buy in range you'd like to see. A Wednesday / Thursday 3pm start would work best from an operations perspective on my side.

Structures will be the next announcement but I will try to provide some insight on what structures we will be using later today.

Feedback has been amazing over the last 24 hours, thanks so much to everyone that took the time to reach out. My team is very excited for #GOLIATH2016!

I will address specific questions as the day progresses.

Thanks,
Chris

Answer is to play both! We set up our GOLIATH Million so you don't have to choose!

Hmm, would be interesting if we had 500 plus dressed up like Ninjas!

This is an open event that anyone may enter. It will feature our great structure with increased chips. ININJA is a new tour out of the midwest. Check out http://ininjapoker.com/ for more info. ININJA will be providing something pretty cool to the winner as well

Of course...Goal is to make everyone as happy as possible while confusing the least amount as possible. The schedule I just posted is locked in with the only potential changes looming are starting times of the charity events and addition of a HU event.

Chris, first off, thank you for listening to the community and applying some slight changes here and there. Really impressed by this year's schedule!

A headsup event is a rare opportunity for players who can't afford the $10k WSOP event.

I think it'd be a terrific idea for PH to offer this, and would be much appreciated by players. Maybe with a buyin in the $300-$500 range?

Not an official answer but most likely 8 or 12 levels.
