Hey everyone,

Going to go to the Pokerstars tournament in the Bahamas to play the $5k main event on the 8th (1a) or 9th (1b) and had a couple of questions for some veterans with a lot of tournament experience playing multiple events.

I am looking to buy into some early events and some others if I bust the Main.

Question 1 - Do I get to pick Day 1A or Day 1B for the Main event or is it assigned? I'm curious because I want to play in the $2200 Championship starting on the 7th-9th, but if I have a healthy stack going into day 2 I would hate to be bought into Day 1A of the Main event already and start getting blinded out.

Question 2 - Should I even play tournaments that could potentially overlap if I run deep? I assume the answer is probably no, meaning I shouldn't play the $2200 regardless and stick to 1 Day tournaments on days before the Main Event?

Question 3 - Is this the correct forum for a Trip Report on something like this?

Cheers,

1)
- If you're buying in yourself at the tournament with cash or whatever, you get to pick what flight you play.
- If you qualified via satellite, they probably make you play day 1A, but you may be able to email PSLive support if you have a good reason why you can't make 1A. I'm sure making day 2 of a different event is a legitimate reason.
- If you're buying in ahead of time through Pokerstars, you should still be able to pick your flight. If not, email them to ask if you can.

2) If you run deep enough in the $2k that you miss the Main, you'll have so much $$$ I doubt you'll mind. But even if you won the $2k on the 9th, you should still be able to hop into day 1B of the Main in late reg. Talk about a sick parlay potential.

3) haven't seen a trip report in this forum of late but the forum header does say "MTTc - Live Live updates from major events, logistics, trip reports, and other live (not televised) major tournament discussion" so go for it! I'd love to read a PCA/PSCB trip report. I hope to do myself someday not too long from now.

Wow, thank you for your prompt reply! I suppose the answers to 1 and 2 make sense. I won a qualifier online, so I have emailed PSLive at your advice to see my options. Thanks again!

I will most definitely be posting a TR then, since I'm going with my lady and we are sure to have a great time regardless of poker results!

Cheers,
- Jim

You might want to visit this thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/65...ht=deuces+wild.

It used to be where everything EPT (including PCA) went. Has been pretty dead but PSNeil should still be around. You can post your questions in there, and people have asked your 1st question before, so you can see how PSNeil responded.

This page may apply to you as well: https://www.pokerstars.com/help/arti...ing-start-day/.

From elsewhere on PS' website:

Tournaments often make their qualifiers play day 1A since that tends to be the smaller flight, so they want qualifiers to make the flight bigger directly through playing and indirectly by encouraging regs to play against the presumably weaker qualifiers.

And congrats on winning a qualifier! I wish I had the chance to do so from the US.
