Hi All,
Greetings from Macau and the APPT! My first time here, having a lot of fun! Great gym and great pool at the Hard Rock that apparently no one but me uses? Well worth a trip if anyone is thinking of coming over for a Festival!

Shane - 16 - Sorry, but I don't have any info on Sanremo at the moment.
Ebut - 17 - The Germanics are a huge and very important region to us and both Berlin and Vienna have been fantastic events. I really hope we return to the region for Season 11 as well. Thanks for your feedback on the non-NLH! I'm really hopeful they will do well this year and to your other point, the Germanics are the perfect home for the three different Stud Champs.
Poker - 18 - Welcome! Prague is a great city and the festival will be even bigger this year!
Mur - 19 - Thanks for the detailed feedback. We are always on the lookout for great destinations and places everyone wants to go. I thought Tallinn was a great city and a fun EPT, but it also drew only 282 players the last time we were there (for €4,000). While I think it is a great destination, we are more focused on places that could draw 600, 700, 800+ for the EPT and 1K+ for the attached National Tour.
Jack - 20 - Correct for both the Mini and Main. Schedule is done. We had some last minute changes that allow us to run a morning Satellite inside the casino which really helped the Sat offerings in Barcelona, so we held the schedule announcement until next week. I was on a call yesterday that said the press release is set for Wednesday the 28th.
Nation - 21 - Believe me, we are listening to the feedback on Sanremo. But, as I told Shane, I have no info yet.
Turoo - 22 - Agreed! Now someone fix the law
Sect - 23 - For the early seasons, it made a lot of sense to do SR and MC together as it was a great two weeks for players. Now each EPT is 12 days so it is just too much. I doubt you will see that type of "squishing" in the future.
David - 26 - Thanks for that post, you took the words out of my mouth. In addition, as far as SR, as you noted it isn't the worst venue in the world as some portray it, but it also has trouble measuring up against what we can do in MC or Prague or Barcelona and other places.
Pablito - 27 - We have good relationships in Belgium from what I understand. I don't know if an EPT would work there logistically but I have only heard good things about the events we have held there.
Berg - 28 - To my incomplete knowledge, it is all regulatory and legislative issues. I would love to have an EPT in Amsterdam as I think Eureka Amsterdam could get 1,500 and EPT Amsterdam could get 1,000!
mo3rt - 30 - Summer is tough because of the Series. They swallow June and July. It's a perfect time for them as no one really wants to go Vegas in July but now they have to. It isn't ideal for the rest of the poker calendar as those are two of the best months on the calendar for destinations.
To your second point we have to take into account the venue and their demographics. EPT Snowfest was in late March because the hotels didn't need us to bring them bodies in January because they're full (although we would have loved late January early February for better skiing). Same for a resort town like Deauville, they wouldn't need our business in spring and summer, they need it in January and prefer not to offer us the rooms or the space in say April or May.
Mur - 31 - I really appreciate your feedback and I agree with your ideas quite a bit. All I can really say is it is a lot harder than everyone thinks to get one approved. We are actively looking though and that includes the regions you mention.
Mad - 32 - Interesting ideas!
Sun - 33 - EPT Kyiv or EPT Crimea? Kyiv was awesome and I loved the EPT and RPS events I went to there. Great city, great people!
Sect - 34 - Well, they did close EPT Moscow a couple weeks before it was going to take place...
OMG - 35 - Thanks for the feedback.
Ilove - 36 - Agreed! EPT Budapest was fantastic in EPT5! Now someone go fix their law
Ase - 38 - Agreed to both! Now go to Romania and fix THEIR law. (I'm sensing a theme to my responses
)
Poker - 39 - Noted...and good luck!
hau - 40 - I had to google it
If I ask the other German guys, where does this rate in Germany as a city for EPT?
Ina - 41 - Good suggestion.
Ebut - 42 - May 28.
Timex - 43 - You got it.
Ase - 44 - You can have it too!
Mement - 45 - Thanks Mickey!
Asc - 47 - Legal issues in Vienna and Germany at this time.
Chloe - 48 - As I mentioned to some others, I love this idea...now someone change their law
Dlr - 54 - We're not a big fan of re-entry on the EPT. For our Mains everyone gets a single chance, from the first time qualifier to Daniel Negreanu. We only have re-entry on four events, SHR, HR, a two flight 1K and the National Tour Mini. Only the SHR is unlimited (and that may change for EPT11 to a single re-entry like our HR).
King - 55 - The schedule is out on May 28th in a press release. I did break down the start of the festival in post 15. The schedule really hasn't shifted as we have a format we think works great.
ESPT 16 - 21
50K SHR 18-20
ESPT HR 20 - 21
EPT ME 21 - 27
EPT HR 25 - 27
Iquit - 56 - ICWYDT
Ase - 57 - 1A, 1B, 1C is Sat/Sun/Mon 16 - 18
Cheers,
Neil
