I won a seat to this, but I have no idea about it. I cannot find anything online with dates or location. I also read somewhere you get a $500 credit for travel and hotel to get there, but I dont know how to get in contact with them or figure any of that out. I saw the wsop schedule was recently released but I dont see it on there. Any info would be great. Thanks guys

Last year it was right before the 1st WSOP event started, my guess would be May 23-25ish. I don't think they have the dates set in stone for it though.

^^ There's been talk of "WSOP World Rankings" based on recent performance at the WSOP and WSOPE. I'm sure they'll get around to publishing these rankings in the new few weeks?

I doubt they would single out just wsop 2011 that would be foolish.

Good catch, I missed that part. They also said the list would be available in November, and I can't find it in their press section, or anywhere for that matter. I also can't seem to find the WSOP POY numbers from 2010(I'm not too shocked about this.) I doubt I'll even come close to qualifying for it, so I'm not worried. Hell, I'll be shocked if I get out to play any of the remaining stops of the tour.

This is a hilarious post on so many levels. Some of this has been mentioned in this thread, but here are the "fun" details:

- I qualified through points last year. Caesars has my address, phone number and email address. I received ZERO correspondence from them before the event. 3 people didn't show up for the freeroll, word was that one of them didn't even know about the tournament, and another of them found out at the very last minute when he had already traveled to Europe for some other tourn.

- I'm pretty sure last year the date of the national championship was set at the beginning of the "circuit season". This year no one seems to know, and from what I've heard, anyone who asks gets vague details.

- They claimed the list of "top 100" WSOP players would be out with the November 9. I'm pretty sure it's now slightly after November. Not to mention, it is kind of dumb for them to use players from the last 2 years, since they are obviously trying to get bigger names into this field for tv purposes. Why not just make it top 100 of the last 20 years and get your Negreanus, Brunsons and Chans in there? No offense towards these guys, but I don't think anyone cares about watching Jason Sommerville and David Baker (either one) on tv.

- If you go to the current points leaderboard page (http://www.wsop.com/circuit/2011-leaderboard.asp) you will see that 38 people are highlighted in red. This makes no sense, as 66 people will qualify on points. Scrolling to the bottom of the page, it claims these people are "Clinched (at large bid)". This is not true. I think the top 66 should be highlighted and the legend should say that it is the "current cut line", but that there are still many qualifying events to go.

So in summary, while the freeroll tournament is awesome, and unifying the circuit was a great idea, once again Caesars doesn't seem to care about being organized or taking care of details. It is amazing to me that the company who owns the biggest name in all of poker continually shows such mediocrity in management. In Las Vegas, you can't even find a game as big as 2-5 in any Caesar's property during the week. This is insane to me considering the WSOP brand name.

When I asked about the WSOP World Rankings earlier this week on Twitter, the response I received said they would announce the list closer to when the event will be held. Apparently, the National Championship will be held at the Rio late June/early July during the WSOP.

this was the event sam barnhardt won last year right? Does anyone have links to the TV episodes?
