Thanks, it is simply the same standardized WPT structure I created with varying level times. Even the nits like Sexton and Matusow liked it

Vienna using it with hour long levels

Indiana and Hard Rock Florida like Commerce with 90 minute levels

As far as I know only Borgata and Bellagio not using it for season 10

Matt,

Assume the season 10 schedule will be announced during the WPT World Championship?

Matt:

I think that the WPT should start all final tables at noon. Yesterday they started at 4 pm and played until 4 am. That's a brutal grind, especially with so much at stake and when it's Day 6 of the event.

I agree it was brutal but the interviews are done the day of the FT. The bubble burst, the super short day 5, and the amount of suckout double ups killed us at the final table (you will see it on the show).

What does the WPT do to protect its players from cheaters? It seems like Ali Tekintamgac is a confirmed cheater playing in the WPT championship. Personally, I'm not interested in playing with cheaters.

Ali T. probably cheated but it's not confirmed or proven.

I'd guess there would have to be compelling evidence to DQ him from a final table.

there's PLENTY of evidence he cheated, not to mention that he's banned from more than 1 european casino for cheating.

WPT should ban anyone who has been caught cheating in their own tournaments.

I assume this is practice, but don't agree with it. If the WPT believes that the guy was fairly disqualified for cheating they should at least address it. My point is I see no reason to wait till you catch him cheating in your tournament unless there's some sort of gaming regulation. Casinos routinely share "black lists" AFAIK for card counters and the like. Why not do it for poker too unless the casino only cares when the cheater has an unfair advantage against the house?

Not sure I do not work at the Bellagio but I believe it is the same for all non US residents that do not have an ITIN number.

Bellagio Cup and Festa al Lago are no longer on the World Poker Tour but Bellagio still have two events a year (5 Diamond and WPT Championship).

There are many more changes coming to this years WPT Season 10 Schedule that will be announced very soon.

Unfortunately Beatrice Lemothe has left the World Poker Tour but she has been replaced by Jeanine Deeb who is a familiar face in the poker industry. Jeanine is the daughter of Freddy Deeb but more importantly is familiar with the players and in her role as Player Relations Manager will be assisting players with information and anything else you may need to make your WPT experience a good one.

Though season X officially started in Slovenia the first domestic stop on the World Poker Tour is next week at the Bicycle Casino in LA starting on the 25th at noon.

We just came off a very successful season IX with many changes from season VIII and during our recent WPT Summit in LA even more changes are coming to the tour including added stops (both domestic and international), changes to the show, and other things that will be released very soon.

If you have any questions let me know

Why hasn't WPT been back to Fallsview? Is it because of gaming regulations in Ontario regarding online site ads or because the casino won't pay the WPTs fee?

I think your first comment is the closest to the truth, I know the WPT has high interest in Fallsview and the feeling is mutual.

We need a Canada stop no doubt!

Matt,
Chip set security has become an issue at a lot of casinos over the country (many WPT stops included) for a variety of reasons. Some casinos are too cheap to purchase new/separate chip sets or high denomination chips for their more prestigious events and use the same chips for WPTs as they do for say, a 300$ deep stacks tournament. If the WPT cannot compel its member casinos to procure a separate and secure chipset for the WPT main events and other similar events then maybe it's time for the WPT to produce and travel with it's own high denomination chips (5ks+?) that the company can closely monitor and account for. MLB provides the baseballs, NFL provides the footballs, why can't WPT provide a chipset that can be guaranteed not to be compromised. Currently Foxwoods and the Bike are the 2 worst offenders of this. both give out 5k,10k, and 25k chips from the WPT chipset in tournaments where their icm value reaches as low as 2-3% of their value during day 1 of a WPT.

My girlfriend played a 100$ tournament at the bike last week where she had over 3 million in chips in front of her, she could have easily taken just 1% of her stack out of play, given it to me for the WPT main at the bike increasing their value exponentially. Foxwoods does the same thing with their deep stack tournaments, where you get 50,000 chips for 300$, only to later get 30,000 chips for 10,000$. Men the master isn't the only person out there doing unethical things and i'd go as far as to guarantee that there has been abuse of these procedures already.

I think having the WPT control the 5k's+ would go a long way towards fixing the issue. Obviously the first few days of the tournament would create potential issues with chip colors/sizes/clashing designs and loss of advertising for the host casino, but the final tables would be fine and the chips would be consistent over the season
