Oakland isn't terrible, but it's 35-45 minutes in non rush-hour traffic (twice that in rush hour) from Bay 101, and a car is necessary. If you're coming just for Shooting Star, Oakland is a lot more hassle.

Yes, but i arrived at night and it was a very convenient way to have a car for both bay and thunder valley.

oakland not really an option from FLL... every spirit flight had either 1 or 2 stops. flights are pretty pricey. still debating what to do

If the drawbacks were so obvious, you would have no problem explaining them. Your continued reluctance to do so seems to indicate the drawbacks are not so obvious.

I stand by the assertion that BSF is a preferred format when re-entry is allowed. It REDUCES the inclination for people to play sub-optimally near the end of day 1. And if someone is intent on cheating, BSF provides no additional incentive above and beyond what already exists in any re-entry format.

I'm through debating this with you. The main drawbacks which do not occur in standard reentry are possible chip dumping to other players because you have an advancing stack. And chip smuggling from a subsequent stack to an advanced stack.

I won't humor you further.
