Matt i was going over the pre-lim schedule for Legends and wanted to know your thoughts on the Starting Chip stack for pre-lims.. Also, is there a need to have $10 bonus chips? could you just add that into the buy-in some how..

Sorry, I actually not have anything to do with the preliminary events at the Bike so you would need to contact Mo at (562) 806-4646.

Matt;

Is there any plan to bring back the WPT at Niagra, or run a Canadian event anywhere else?

Bellagio's Five Diamond ME is Dec. 3-8, not the 13-19 listed over at CardPlayer, correct?

Very good news regarding Florida. I can't figure out where next year's event is going to be from the article, though -- Hollywood or Tampa?

Is this thread still live for comments and suggestions?

I'm curious if the WPT still has a "no chop" policy and if Matt could comment on that.

Also, is it correct that Savage is trying to create a universal structure for all WPT events? Will this be applied to scheduling the events too (like how many levels play on day 1, dinner breaks, etc.)?

Matt the payout schedule should be std. Bellagio pays 100 of 400+, bike pays 45 then fudges the payouts to make it $750k for first. The remaining payouts suffer dramatically.

Hi Matt,

Assuming you're not the TD for the preliminary events at the WPT stops, do you know who will be running the new event in S Florida?

Hi Matt,

I won a package from party for WPT events and was looking forward to using part of it towards the WPT Marrakech in November. However, even though it is being advertised on many sites on the internet it is not on the WPT website and Party just keeps referring me there. Do you have info?

Thanks.

This looks terrible from so many angles...

1. A hidden £200 vig, which was not made clear to the players.

2. This extra vig was supposed to be "for the dealers". But apparently the dealers did not get any of it... it all went to some guys that were flown in from the US (I think to help organise the event but this is not clear). Clearly it is pretty bad to take an extra vig without being totally transparent about it from the outset. But many players might still (grudgingly) accept this if they know it is going to the guys who dealt to them for the duration. And of course then they can decide not to tip if they cash without feeling bad about it. But when it turns out that this hidden and enforced vig did not actually go to the dealers at all... well it is just really, really bad.

3. The card room manager from the Palm Beach has posted in the thread trying to defend the situation. But his post is really bad, and actually makes the situation look even worse in some ways! He's obviously not great with words, and some of what he says does not fully make sense. But it appears like he is arguing that it was ok to impose a hidden extra vig and then give it all to the guys from the US, because these guys were responsible for getting some of the US 'stars' like Ivey to fly out and play the event. I find it hard to believe that this really is what he means, but it does appear that way - "Hey guys you should all be happy to pay that extra £200 to these American colleagues of mine. After all, they managed to persuade PHIL IVEY(!!!) to come and play with you!".

The whole thing looks awful imho.

Thanks.

Do you have any idea when it will be confirmed on the WPT website with full details? The people I am dealing with for booking my package just keep saying it isn't confirmed until it is on the website.
