Hey guys. Im new to tournament poker. This is my 2nd live tourney ever. So i need to make sure if this fold and call in these 2 spots are correct.

First hand:
Day 1 Flight B
We Play till 2000/4000/500ante level

Blinds are 400/800/100ante
Villain is UTG and just sat down. He's young 40ish year old skinny white male with gold attire. Visor+ sunglasses. He started the hand with 84k~. I started the hand with 140k~
UTG Villain opens to 2k
UTG1 folds
UTG2 calls (has around 80-100k reggish player)
MP1 folds
MP2 Hero has AKo and raises to 8k
HJ folds
CO folds
Btn Folds
SB folds
BB folds
Villain ships in his whole stack of 84k.
UTG2 snap folds
Hero folds

Second Hand:
Blinds 1500/3000
Villain just sat down couple hands ago. She sat down with around 80k but lost half of it by making a hero call. Shes an older asian lady. Looks super nervous and uneasy.
My image is probably tag. I haven't played many hands since I folded the AK. I had KK vs someones 5bb all in and won. Then I lost a medium/smallish pot with aces. Ive been folding a lot since. This was my first hand in like 4 orbits.
Villain started hand with 38k
Hero started hand with 100k
UTG Hero opens to 7k
UTG1 Folds
UTG2 Folds
MP1 Villain shoves for 38k
Everyone folds
I asked for a count and planned on calling anything under 40k. Dealer says 38, I call.
The reason I folded my AK hand was because I was still over 100bbs and had a lot more time to look for a better spot. The reason I called with this KQs hand was because I was now medium stacked and felt like I had to take more gambling spots with these stack sizes. Not sure if my line of thinking is wrong for tournaments.

1st hand if you lose you are left with 56k

2nf hand if you lose you are left with 62k

I would have called with AK more than I would have with the KQ hand. KQ hand you could be at a coin flip or crushed by AK or AQ hands.

I like folding Hand #1. You don't have any reads or hand history he's jamming 100BB's with a hand you are flipping against, tied with, or crushed by. I just can't imagine there ever being a bluff there. 2nd hand I like a fold as well given your table image and your description of villain, although I don't hate a call given more often than not you are flipping. Personally I would protect my 30bigs and wait for a better spot.
