Rake will probs be huge. The house cut is already large for the series they host and for the Denny Crum series they have they take out an additional amount for charity as well.

I can't remember but it was well over 30% for some of the events in the last series I believe.

I'm playing 1D tomorrow. I'm pleasantly surprised that this event will get 400 runners.

Rake with the $20 optional added chips is 28%

If you pass on the add-on it's about 21%

$30 fee, $20 charity deduction per player from pool, 20 add on 70 bucks in rake on 250 total paid.

We ended on 2k/4k today, but I heard we'd be starting at 1k/2k on Sunday.

does the casino actually donate any money from their side or just the players paying 10%

Do not come, huge rake and they are strictly enforcing a stupid rule. If you act out of turn, even if you check out of turn AND no action has taken place behind, it's auto 3 hand penalty. The second is 6 hands and a third is 12. Really really petty and ridiculous. In the first 7 minutes today 7 penalties. Everyone is bitching, and several are trying to get it started that no tipping dealers. Not the dealers fault, but some think this will get them to change it. I mean Denny Crum got two penalties.... They did finally get some decent chairs Just stay away and wait for better opportunities...

Finished 24th out of 161 today in the noon bounty. Great time. I for one am glad they are enforcing penalties on out of turn action.

Over raked, 40% rake on the 7 card stud event, not sure what rules apply (double bet on paired 4th yes/no) Hammond allows it, southern Indy doesn't. Just silly bad. Allowing entries to the 8th level when there is no chance 16 people are going to survive with 8k when level 4 is into 4 figures.

Whatever no need to play this tournament series.

The only tournament series worth playing at this casino IMO is the WSOPc, and the only value in that is because they're circuit events & softer fields. The tournaments here have been horrid for years.

50 some entries in the Limit-Holdem event today.

The tourney started off with penalty after penalty for acting out of turn. Most of them occurred during the first level. Once people realized that they would have to sit-out 3 hands for a first offense, players began paying attention. This I believed caused for faster and more accurate play which gave us more hands per level.

Fun tournament. I know people complain about the rake, but this is a charity event. Coach was at our table. Very nice man.

Is just part of the prize fund going to the charity or does the casino match any of this?

Someone asked this on their Facebook. They said 10% of the rake/add-on also goes to the charity.

But there is an added 2015 WSOP main event seat which makes up for the high rake and adds a great value to the tournament.

Doesn't make up for a high rake as you are paying for the seat thru a high rake the casino is not really paying it, the players are.
