Best I can remember between 50-100 depending on weekday or weekend.

How long are the levels? I don't see them on the structure sheets.

Call for reservations as it seems the code doesn't work for online reservations but does when calling.

They have had the same problem for the last several events, maybe the poker room management has "pissed off" the IT department.

The discount code is still not working for online registration but it does work when calling reservations.

Can anyone provide the structure for the Saturday July 1 Deep stack Tournament; $20K & 1 WPT seat guarantee? Any guess as to how many runners?

Thanks, but I was referring to the tournament this Saturday July 1. I did not see the structure.

Is this the first time they have done a $500 seniors event? I see other $200 events in the past that had moderate turnout but was not seeing a $500...

Saw that one as well, just wondering about whether there will be enough turnout for the $500.00 to make it worth re-arranging schedules. There are actually three Seniors events on the calendar, all on Mondays.

The fact that the $500 events are only a $20K guarantee has me concerned about turnout expectations...not just the Seniors but also the other two $20K guarantees that week.

What sort of rates are you getting? Debating whether it would be worth staying there or driving to/from a room in Denison...

Ranging anywhere from $99.00 to $149.00 depending on location and days.

Should be the normal Saturday structure. 22k starting stack and 30 min levels

It's pretty lame that Choctaw just gave up on having any kind of non nlh big buy in tournaments. A couple years ago, they had a 1k PLO with 100k gtd that got about 150 runners. PLO and big O are huge in N Texas. This would definitely be the series to have a big buy in of one of these games.

agreed...instead of having it during the week, have it on a weekend

They had about 10 non NLH events in the last series with an average of maybe 40 players. In January non NLH players had asked for non NLH events for the next series and when the casino gave the players many non NLH events very few players showed up. It may take awhile before the casino gets over this as they aren't in business to lose money.

Last year, for this event, the PLO8 tournament got 74, the PLO got 84, and the Congress got 68. Yeah, obviously it would get more on the weekends but it's pretty impractical to put one of those events on a Sunday just so it can get about 30-50% more entrants when you can just host another holdem event that will be fed entrants off of the big weekend event that is breaking down. On the first Sunday last year, they had a Sunday NLH $230 tournament that got 401 entrants. The second Sunday did the same and got 417. Why would the casino make such a switch during the coveted weekend slots to accommodate a much smaller player base?

1k or 1.5k PNIA is not going to draw the same crowd as a 3700 wpt. How about ONE 1k+ PLO right before or right after the main? I'm sure an unlimited re entry PLO when traveling pros are already in town with even a modest 100k guarantee would be successful. If the arguement is: "we get good turnout, just leave it as the same series every year," then might as well be winstar...

And the 1k PLO that drew 150 or so was the wpt, not PNIA. Different series will draw different turnouts. Tons of mixed games with big guarantees for PNIA on weekdays probably not the best idea.

Jimmy Sommerfeld was asked to have non NLH events for the PNIA by several players and he did accommodate them but the casino lost money since players did not show up. I would suggest asking Jimmy to give y'all another chance for non NHL events as he is the that could get the casino management to Ok them. But I guarantee you if he gets the non NHL events and players go somewhere else you won't see many more.
