I guess what bothers me about this kind of situation is that there's not even an attempt by the dealer to explain to the floor how it happened. If I messed up when a player's tournament was on the line, I would at least try and present specifics, and not just "I dealt 4 cards". When you talk these things out it's pretty easy to determine what happened. But noooo let's take the easy way out at another player's expense.
Sorry, I'll get off the soapbox. I know I'm coming off like a whiny *****. Just feels like a complete waste of $125 and 6 and a half hours of my time.
