A cool idea for the future of this would be a scenario where there is no end of day, the tournament is played in a non-stop format, no breaks, no bags, tag out if you're tired and let the guy just coming off a nap jump in. Make it a larger starting stack with 60 or even 90 minute levels and let it be a true team competition as no one would really be able to play at their best for 20+ hours of tournament poker (I know we all do 20+ hour cash sessions but often those include several breaks).
I think the no break concept is a great idea. Than there would be more strategy around when to substitute etc. However, they still shoot for the 18 hour range in the tournament.
I don't think fighting among teammates will be a problem. Buying pieces of players is fairly common, this is pretty similar.
But yeah, they should tighten down the rules for sure.
