It IS frustrating...the ONLY reason I used to go to Council Bluffs was because they had HORSE in the schedule...and the 8-game mix is what I entered for my very first WSOP event (had never done the Series before). I'll make it a point to travel for the events where they put some manner of a mixed event onto the schedule- beyond that, I won't deliberately clear the calendar.

Agreed--unfortunately this was all foretold after a couple $20k + overlays on their mixed game "championship" events in the spring.

Now that we all have attention spans the size of a gnat, the rec players just flock to the NL/PLO games.

I think if someone created a 7 card hand dual flop game people would probably love that crazy concept too.

I'll post it as soon as I hear from the casino poker management, my guess they will let me know in a couple of weeks. Jimmy doesn't have anything to do with room rates.

Good schd for NL grinders like myself, I love the $1,080 price point for the main. More people satty in for that price, and still generates a big prize pool. My guess is 40 min levels, 20k ss??

I saw Jimmy Friday and he said he will post the structures soon, waiting on gaming commission to give approval.

Bigtex, I know this is the series before the circuit, but maybe suggest some O8 or even bigO ring events to Jimmy for the circuit? I feel like the dfw market for mixed game is huge. Some of the afternoon nlh events don't draw big crowds. It might even draw some new players just for the mixed games.
