This sounds good in theory, but it simply is not the case. Adding 15k per re-entry does not counter balance the addition of the player and the time it takes for said player to bust. Yes it helps the prize pool, but re-entry actually hurts the tournament structurally when you are talking about a 1 day event with 30 minute levels. Re-entry with no structural changes will actually create more shallow play mid to late in the tournament than has already been experienced.

Adding a critical level or two will not add much time at all if the first level would be 50/100 as opposed to 25/50. With a 15k starting stack, there is much more value to a 2.5k/5k level and/or a 5k/10k level than the 25/50 level. If they were to start at 50/100 and add a 150/300 and a 2.5/5k or 5k/10k level and not implement re-entry, they would find that the tournament length would be comparable in time to what it already has been, but the value to the player would be infinitely higher.
