Congrats again, Drew.

I crushed my starting table, then Marvin moved me to the eventual FT and I ran like crap!!

Then I played PLO until 12:30a

Just wanted to reiterate thanks to Choctaw for listening and adjusting the tournament, it is a fun tourney and good value for the money. We bring up the minor issues to be tweaked (reg line) not to constantly bitch but to ensure the health of the tourney.

It would also be REALLY nice if the freeroll could move to a diff day/time and this tourney could go off EVERY Saturday. I think that would be huge for the tourney and the cash games on Saturday, make Choctaw THE place to go on Saturday. I have concerns that two weeks off will get players out of the habit of coming and lose business. For example, I am coming back to play a Mega at Winstar either July 31 or Aug 7. If I come for the one on 7/31, I will just go to Winstar on Saturday too. If I come on 8/7, I will come to Choctaw on Saturday and play this.

Just food for thought, thanks again Marvin/Choctaw.

Great tournament. Structure was awesome. I saw some of the discussion about bonus chips. Bonus chips are ridiculous. That is the reason I don't play the weeklys at Choctaw.

Def. need more people running sign-ups.

Thanks for talking me into going SJCX !

Ship it.

Early structure is great. Near the end it speed up kinda fast. Wish you could add a level or 2 more. But pretty sure you won't since it already takes awhile lol

I'd say add 150/300 and 5k/10k. I don't think that would add that much time to the length of the tourney.

At the 130/300/25 you won't bust many players, so adding these two 30" levels could easily add 45 minutes or more to the tourney.

Would rather have 5k/10k than 150/300

Marvin,

My structural recommendation would be to drop the 25/50 level at the beginning (we would still start at 150 bigs), and add the 150/300 25 ante level and the 2.5k/5k or 5k/10k level. Making this adjustment will not have a significant impact on length of play but will improve value of play deeper in the tournament where needed.

Thanks as always.

Jody

Like I said before. 150/300 doesn't matter haha. Add levels later in the tourney like 5k/10k if any. I played it this past Saturday. The early part and middle of the tourney is fine. It was late in the tourney when it got fast

If you start the tourney at 50/100, the 150/300 is a nice addition and I would prefer the 2.5k/5k level over the 5k/10k level as it impacts a larger % of the player pool. The 5k/10k level would be a nice addition certainly, but I know that they are trying to limit how long the tourney runs. Taking out the 25/50 and adding two of the three levels I am recommending will not add much time to the tournament but it will add substantial value to the players in deciding a winner.

Damn Jody you are a pretty smart guy but I've been told DFW players like fast structured tourneys so why are you trying to make a better structure and increase play? Won't that decrease number of players?

I have a great idea for not having to wait in line so long..... show up before noon. Registration starts at 8 o'clock in the morning so as long as you dont show up at noon you shouldnt have to wait. I also think that if we add more levels then it slows the tournament down that much more and you will lose some of the players due to it lasting to long. I really like the tourney just the way it is and im glad they listen to us unlike other places and im going to show my appreciation by not complaining. Thank You Marvin/Choctaw for putting up with us crybabies

Yeah, getting there earlier might solve the problem. And if I get there when the tourney starts I expect to wait a little bit. But 20 minutes is unacceptable.

And we're not talking about adding a bunch of levels. Mainly one (5k/10k) and possibly another. (150/300)

I waited 10-ish minutes and registered at 11:15 or so.

Thanks texmo Thursday will make or break me in the wsop main, if I can make it thru day 4 I can loosen up and try build chips faster after I make the money. I'm not used to playing on someone else's dime and I'm being careful probably to careful.

The only thing I would want beside more levels is multi entry till first break. It will help prize pool out. Add more people. Plus people won't mind driving so long to play where they can re enter for first2 hours. So they don't drive 2-3 hours to play and bust early

With Multi-Entry when you get knocked out is there a random draw for a new seat, or do you stay at same seat/table? Also do the players know when a re-entry comes into their table. Strategey may be very different for someone who has busted mulitple times in an hour...tilty???

you are treated exactly the same as someone walking off the street to play, random seat assignment, etc
Choctaw, Durant OK Weekly Tournaments Quote

Usually it's same seat. But ya. I think more people might come out plus it will add to prize pool and not add that much time to the tourney

how would you know, you are always crushing! no need to re-enter! ;-). the ones i had played/seen, like WSOP Rio Deepstax, you got a whole new seat, but I would imagine in a smaller field, it would be likely that your old seat might be the only one open
