The other issue was the field was smaller than usual, 77 runners, so avg stack was quite shallow. 3/6k and avg was 144k, barely more than 20 bigs. One guy (on my right) had almost 400k so many others were around 8-15bb. So I kinda agree with Texmo that we can likely fold here, then ship next time it's folded around to us...

Also, I pretty much snap called, didn't take time to think it through (which I usually do.). if I had, I might have folded since I hate calling off for my tournament life, especially since we can outplay most folks here.

folding if he shows us a 60/40 is also horrendous, considering the dead money in the pot.

I think snapping a 9bb shove btn vs bb with A8s vs a capable player is outplaying your opponent in a sense. If we're folding spots like this where we're ahead of a thinking players range we're leaving a lot of equity on the table.

drew tweeted that he thought BTN was 30BB effective, which if SB was also that deep could impact the range, taking out the very bottom and very top of a standard range IMO.

looks like next two weekends its 175+25. with 15k guarantee. I'm assuming $10 dealer addon too, meh.

Anyone going? Should the turnout be bigger this weekend because of holiday or does everyone stay home with family?

About 90 entries on Sat 4/6/12 Noon with 175+25+10 add on. Tournament ended around 10:20pm and the payout was 12th place. 1st place was $4,777. Congrats TexMo for cashing and sorry that I took you out. Lucky me ended with 1st place no chop.

Tex_Shamrock, you not only played great but also were very patient and I glad you made it to final 3. After Gary busted you out, he had about 4-1 of chips ratio. I managed to double up twice because of his aggressive style on headup. Similiar to the hand he called you with K6s when you jammed with JQs. The final hand was when Gary jammed with KJ and I snapped call with A9.
