That's precisely what I was estimating, I guess the field size is too unpredictable considering its new years eve.

Only needs 81 players to cover guarantee, Im guessing 108 on the nose.

Being NYE it could be a ghost town or 200+, who knows...

According to the dealers NYE is one of the busiest days of the year in the poker room expecting closer to 200 and lots of cash games

I lost almost half my stack on hand #1 too, flopped a set and folded to a river shove with a 4 card straight on board and 3 hearts. He turned over KQo (top two on river Q)

Will be back on the 5th to start the series.

Seeing as how some people around here just love a good tourney regardless of a ring or not, I think that there will be decent numbers. Probably not like the numbers seen on later weekends, but "decent" non-the-less.

I am coming up for Jan 5 -8 because it is the only time I could get free from work responsibility for sure. I hope that I am correct on my hypothesis.
