I plan on making Bossier City, Biloxi, Choctaw, Vegas, Tunica, St. Louis and Nola. Unless I make casino champion again or win a main event and don't have to chase points.

Was first worth around $5,400? If so, who signed for 1st?

I couldn't remember. I knew we had around 125 players, and I thought it was over $5k for first, but couldn't recall the exact amount.

gg, those things are tough to navigate and an 8th place finish is nothing to sneeze at!

Appreciate it Stein.

Had a question for others:

Haven't played in the poker room before, was curious if that was the normal tournament director/floor running the deep stack on saturday? So many nice things about the casino, the room, the dealers, everything was great except for how the tournament was actually run. Particularly with 3 tables left, there were continued problems with not balancing the tables and no TD around.(9 on one table while we've dealt 3 hands 6-handed) Also the TD incorrectly broke down the 3rd table with 21 people still remaining. It was until everyone tried to take their seat that it was figured out, then everyone had to go back to the other table. When asked about pausing/putting time on the clock I was laughed off. I played one of the circuit tourneys in the other room and was very pleased with floor/staff/dealers then, was surprised by TD in this one. Didnt ruin the fun or tilt me too bad just didn't really expect it.

Oh, and just for the record, apparently TJ Cloutier is able to move tables when he pleases. Spent a few levels at my opening table and unfortunately got up at the break and moved to another table. When asked, I was told this was common practice. Seems odd, guess Im greedy for liking a very straightforward player to my immediate left, hah.

Re-reading the post sounds like I had a bad time, but really really enjoyed the experience. Thought it was a very player friendly environment and had quality dealers and next time I won't park by the south casino entrance hah.

Actually the usual TD was not there on Saturday. He was apparently off. Also, in regards to the TJ thing, if it is like it used to be, they have a bounty on TJ (usual the amount of the buy in) and they rotate him around so that multiple tables have a crack at him. Not sure if this is still the case, but this is why he has been moved around in the past.

I doubt if they will do this much longer since he is no longer "wearing their colors" atleast that is what I've heard but who knows because casino polices change daily.

I heard him talking about his dispute with Choctaw but didn't hear the details. I guess they settled it.

Few weeks ago he was on my left and I asked him if there was a bounty, he said no.

I'm planning on heading up to Choctaw for the first time tonight and maybe play in the bounty tourney.

Is the structure of the tournament ok at least? I couldn't find it online. Also was wondering how late it may run as I have an early flight out on Saturday....

Thanks in advance.

I'll be IN for both, thanks for posting!

Anyone know the best weekend value tourney in Vegas right now? Heading out tomorrow, might just play at Aria (staying there) but might do a Caesars or Venetian tourney Sunday.

I wonder how the tournament will be tomorrow with all the people at winstar but no river event scheduled.

Talking at the 2/5 game there were a few asking how to get to Choctaw to play Saturday since they were not from this area

Thanks for nothing thread.

I went up there today for the first time anyway and really enjoyed the room. I really preferred the experience there to Winstar for sure.

The cash game play was pretty straight-forward/easy. It seemed like all of the regulars were passive pre-flop and then calling machines after if they caught anything.

Most noticeable hand from the day was against a younger dude who really made a great laydown. I have about 160 in the CO, villian is UTG, he raises to 8, I reraise to 22 with QQ. He calls.

The flop is K-10-4r, he check calls my $25 bet. A Queen comes on the turn, and he folded to my $35 bet, showing AK face up. Most players there wouldn't dream of folding that there but he thought I had aces.

Over about 5 hours I made $240 in the 1-2 game and spent half of it on the bounty tourney... I didn't last past the second level as I really overplayed top pair against an overpair.

Anyway, good experience will look forward to doing more of their weekly tournies in the future.
