Decent turnout today. 134 runners, $5,600 for 1st. My first opportunity to play this one since Labor Day.

I was in seat 1 today...the guy that checked raised the tightest players at the table . One of my many leaks along with shipping it in with pocket 2's and losing the race to the guy that was gifted about 50k in chips.

Good playing with you!

A few hands after you got moved...UTG opens for 5k, old cowboy that was gifted a double up flat calls, folds to me I look down at 2-2 and with 16k total I put it all in...folds to the initial raiser and he tanks and doesn't call the additional 11k but old cowboy snaps me off...AK of course and the UTG raiser clains he folded JJ, flop AQJ...hahahahahahaha...I forgot to say anything when I left, my bad.

I was at your opening table (in the cash game room) in seat 8 (black hat brown jacket), question for ya. Do you always talk strat at the table? Not sure its the best idea for a few reasons, but otherwise you seem like a nice guy and a good player. Didn't out myself at table in an attempt to light 4 bet you, but no opportunities.

Ah cool, great meeting you.

I dont' think I talk strat much (I try hard not to) but I've been told I do too often (hence why I wear headphones.) Definitely something I need to work on....

I think talking strat on a running tourney table is really bad because it is pretty much exposing your game to the whole table. I understand that sometimes you use that reverse psychology crap but in the end you always come back to your own style. Usually I'm just quiet and let my cards speak for themselves. Also I never show my cards unless i have to

Yup, totally agree... sometimes I'll say nothing and even try to ask some stupid question to throw people off.

I showed at one spot in the tourney which was dumb... I had 22, flop was 432, this tight guy bet out and I raised him, and he tank/folded. I showed one of the deuces, but it made it pretty obvious I had a set.

I play somewhat aggro and feel like if I show something strong, it makes them think I am getting hit by the deck and not just stealing at-will.

I thinking creating a NIT image is very important. It allows you to make moves in the later stages that matter most.

And here I thought the only time you weren't stealing was when you were folding! You must talk all that strategy early, when I have played against you it's been just the chit-chat about random things. I'll have to pay more attention the next time we are seated together.

I'm not normally that chatty, Scott just brought it out of me!

Nice meeting you guys even if it was for a brief 30 mins at the alternate table. I don't even remember 48s in seat 8... I remember homegirl to my left and a few other players, everyone else is a blur. We weren't at the table very long.

BTW, got it in with AKo and guy w/J10s cold calls for 15bbish pre. Never played with the guy before and first hand I'd played at the table. I was UTG+1 he was in MP... still don't get his call but obviously he wins (flops the straight).

That after AA getting cracked by J10s via a shorty kind of killed my tournament (I had big stack at the table at one point). That's why I now say J10s is the Choctaw nuts.
