Looks like there will be about a $125k overlay. Whether it comes from the promo fund or the Horseshoe putting it in.

Anyone know how long they will play down to in each of the Day 1's of the $500 tomorrow and Sunday? ?? amounts of levels or down to 12% each day? Maybe missed it, but didn't see it on FB or the structure sheet. Speaking of structures, it's freakng horrible for the $500, but the guarantee makes it hard to pass up.

To DMILLS earlier queston about multiple qualifiers, there were 5 after the first six flights.

Made a deep run in the last heat yesterday, and I have to say that having the Horseshoe floor running things instead of Charlie's crew definitely shows.

The biggest problem was the way they handled the money bubble. We were still playing 10 handed at the point (kinda annoying in its own right) and 45 paid. We were already at 49 when they the broke the 6th table, and they never stopped play to make sure those players were seated. The next 4 people busted pretty quickly, and so we didn't play hand-for-hand at all.

On top of that, during all this, their attitude was completely nonchalant. One guy is sitting there chit-chatting with people not even in the tournament. Another guy responded to my question of how many are left after the 6th table broke by snidely saying "It's only 5 tables, I think you can count them up." I would have hoped these guys would at least be busting their asses in an effort to prove they don't need Charlie and crew running things.

And one smaller thing that happened which sorta irked me. I was playing a hand earlier. I open shove from mid position with a short-ish stack. Cutoff calls. The button tanks but eventually calls. He has a very similar stack to mine, and I thought I had him slightly covered. The blinds take a second, but eventually fold. I look to the dealer who has only counted my stack, but not the button, and he's may no indication to anyone there is action pending. So I turn over my cards. Turns out the button had 800 more than me with stacks of about 15k. (as a side note, the cutoff called floor to try to have my hand killed before he called the 800, wtf dude?!).

Now, I did technically mess up, and I'll take a penalty if I have to. Personally I think it's impossible to angle in a situation where the only action remaining is a guy having to call 60:1 on his money, so it sort of defeats the spirit of the rule. Anyway, I suckout on the cutoff (which is my new favorite suckout of all time) and the button whiffs. So I triple up. The floor enforces a one round penalty. All this is fine so far. I talk to the floor away from the table to plead my case a bit. He tells me that he has a personal rule that if the rule breaker is the winner of the pot, he gets the penalty, if he is the loser and has chips, there is no penalty. While I understand he is trying to be fair to people who are probably in a crappy situation, a rule should be a rule. Either I broke it, or I didn't. Anyway, he was at least very nice about it, I just think that's kinda BS.

Didn't see anything on any structure or schedule sheet either. Will post when I know.

To DMILLS there ended up being 11 DQ's.

I think the changing the CPC from late feb to May def took its toll. The multiple day 1s often just confuse the rec players too.

All structures are posted on their Facebook page, Horseshoe Chicago Poker Room. Once there, click the CPC Structure link.

Are there unlimited re-buys for the first 4 hours of the CPC Main Event this year?

Has the poker room significantly reduced the number of promotional seats given away for the CPC Main Event this year?

Event 2 is different. No stack advance or bonus for double bagging. Play to 12% and stop.
