Take any guess with a grain of salt. This is the first time anything like this will be done.

In the WSOPc Event #1 they had 2 starting days and allowed rebut in 1b if you busted in 1a. When they got almost 1400 players in day 1a, everyone thought that we would go way past 3000 total because of day 1b being a bigger draw. Well they ended up with exactly 3000 and they had to beg/borrow/steal to get the last few in. So even that was unpredictable.

The event #1 at this CPC will be even harder to predict. Usually a smaller draw than the WSOP, but this will certainly have more than 3000 entries. Plus there are variables nobody knows, like how many tables they will actually dedicate to the tournament and for how long. I doubt they completely shut down cash games while people are constantly reentering.

So that being said, my completely random guess, if you lose quads over quads the first hand, you'll probably be waiting 2-3 hours on day 1a and probably closer to 4 hours on 1b.

When can you start registering for event 1? If I remember correctly, you could register in the poker room early for these events except for the heads up and the venue box office does it.....is that the case this year again?

How long do they typically play on day one for the two day events?

Thanks

18 levels will likely be played for 2 day tournaments. The only exception to this is Event 1, because of the two day 1's they will likely play down to 15% of the field on 1a, and then play the identical amount of time during 1b.

Can believe there isn't more outrage over dropping 3 levels entirely and shortening the ones that remain...

Allen, think about this logically...if the local cash game players are nit OUTRAGED their badbeat drop get robbed twice a year to fund mtts, whats the likelyhood the avg mtt grinder that plays there remotely grasps good structure vs. Poor structure???

I actually understand the changes for the 240s. What they were running last year was nicer than it had to be for such a low buy-in.

What irks me is that there is absolutely no difference between the 240s and the 350s. Could at least do 12000 starting stacks just to throw us a bone.

Never been to Hammond Horseshoe.

On a scale of 1 (awful) to 10 (totally safe), how safe is the area around the casino?

Is it easily accessible of the interstate?

Should I pack Heat (lol!)

Where should one stay? Does the Casino have a hotel? Any recommendations for a suitable safe hotel nearby?

Looking for the advice of those experienced with traveling and playing there.

Thanks!
