Lets make it a practice that for every Hammond tournament series thread, the OP contain a summary of the hotel information. It seems that the majority of the posts in any Hammond thread are hotel questions.

Basically in answer to the FAQ:

Easily accessible from the Interstate (Chicago Skyway / Indiana Toll Road, to be precise). Therefore, area around the casino is basically irrelevant unless your car breaks down (nothing is within walking distance, so don't even ask), in which case you're in an industrial area with well-lit massive gas stations not far away. There are much worse places to be. Packing heat is not recommended unless you have the proper training.

No hotel at the casino. Motels within a few miles. Typical interstate exit hotels and motels at most exits from I-80/94 not too far away. If cost isn't the primary concern, stay in Chicago at a real hotel and enjoy the city.

The areas isn't "safe" I take my heat when going to Hammond. The are a few places to stay near the casino. I prefer to stay at majestic star casino. It isn't nice, but suitable to lay my head for a few hours. The shoe does not have a hotel.

Lol at Hammond bein unsafe...been goin there for years, never close to an issue, anywhere. The biggest threat is the smoke in the casino, you will most likely get cancer if u stay the entire series.

This information is not available on their website or the structure files...but If I had to guess, at least 4 levels. Each level is an hour, and there is a break after every 2 levels...so, maybe 4:20ish.

Just booked flight + hotel + car. Flying in late night Monday the 27th, staying near Midway, then renting a car for the day on the 28th for the HU and winging it for the rest of the week. Will likely stay downtown on Tue/Wed/Thu night, and have an extra bed if you want to chop. PM me.

Usually the day twos starts at 2PM or later on in the afternoon depending on what tournaments they have scheduled that day...

Anybody know if/when they are going to start selling seats to event 1A? Don't they usually do that at the regular poker cage starting about a week before? I'll probably try to make the Sunday weekly if so.
