Re: chainsaw well of information thread
Pleasure to meet you last night, if only briefly after dinner.
1.) I often have trouble getting an accurate grasp on how people perceive me, and I think this is something you just might have trouble with, as well. Frankly, you come across as seriously lacking in self awareness to the point where I often wonder whether or not your entire persona is a giant level? Or maybe you just don't give a flying ****, I really don't know.
If it is in fact not a level, are you a aware of your lack of self awareness? Is this something you have struggled with throughout life, and do you think putting blinders on to other people's opinions of you helps you achieve your life's goals, or help you deal with the trials and tribulations of the day to day grind?
2.) This question is basically an extension of the first question, but in regards to poker strategy...
Do you actually believe that your style in NL Holdem tournaments is the best way to make the most money in the game, or did you adapt such an approach because that is the only way you feel comfortable playing? From what I have heard, Tony Cousineau is very aware that his approach is suboptimal and often pokes fun at himself, but bubbling makes him so uncomfortable that he has resigned himself to such a nitty approach.
3.) Why do you keep fighting the "absurd structure" battles when you get hated on so much for it? It's funny, because I think you are almost always correct when you complain about structures, but the improvements you seek are usually in the interests of players who approach the game at a much higher level than you do. Often, the improvements you seek would actually widen the gap between players with your style and the biggest earners, and, I can only assume, you are actually decreasing your profitability in the events you seek to change.
Now, that is absurd!

Do you consider yourself to be an ubernit or do u think your game is more balanced than most do?
Let's say you never made a post but were just a lurker on here and you read all of your threads. What would be your honest opinion of yourself.
Why do you enter an event (I know 100% u study the structure sheet) knowing what the structure is and then complain about it after the fact when you've busted?
Thanks for doing this

I never did the $10 voucher thing. That was a rumor started a few years ago that spread like wildfire.
I do play rather tight early on in events, but use that image later on to open up my game.
If I read my threads I would think that this guy knows a lot about poker, tournaments, and gossip. Major tourneys have changed rules or structures based on his suggestions, and he's broken several stories on 2p2 which have turned out to be totally accurate.
To be honest, I don't always look at structures before I register. A few times I've noticed problems with structures and actually had them changed on the fly. This happened in reno with jimmy sommerfeld, at the wynn last yr, and recently at the Venetian. If you don't complain, things will never change.

Chainsaw started during one of my deep runs at foxwoods. Two versions have a player calling me that, and then gavin using it on pokerroad, or that gavin created it. Poker road started a chainsaw update segment on their show and it took off from there. .
9-5 doublejoker was a game I played in ac for several years that paid over 100% before cashback, comps etc. I did well at it for several years, but went on a huge downswing right before it was taken out of all the casinos in ac.

$100 an hour, and only if you're serious about playing and following my selection criteria.

I would only coach mixed games, and would charge something reasonable. Someone at bellagio who recently started playing $400 800 mix, asked me about coaching, for them it would be higher.

I had an ongoing tv appearance deal from 2005-2009 with ftp when I made several tv tables on the ultimate poker challenge, taj uspc, and 2 wpt final tv tables. In 2009, I had a patch deal with doyles room at the wsop, and prior to this wsop they made me one of their purple pros, and no, not brunson 10.

The best games available at hi limits pay slightly less tham 100%. U need a drawing, promo, or multiple points offer to make it plus ev, with variance can still lose though.

He has a feel for the table I can't describe. Other players who have this are jc alvarado (bpr award winner at bellagio cup), and prior to his ft appearance in the main event ylon schwartz won the award at borgata.
Another past winner. Alex Jacob

I get a lot of exercise walking around casinos, but I am really out of shape. I could use a personal trainer.
