Holding royal cards vs high pairs. Breaking 2 pair usually wrong unless aces pay a lot and two pair even money. Holding 3hi cards including an ace just hold the lower 2 hi cards. Playing machines less than 9-6 jacks or better. Playing any variation of double double bonus.

We played from 30-60 to 100-200 omaha 8 and stud 8 until the late 90s.

He really did ask me for backing around 2000 or so wsop.

He has called or texted me a few times for video poker advice when he was playing $25 10 play $1250 a hand 9-6.

What changes would you have made if you were running the WSOP ME this year?

Re: chainsaw well of information thread

Trying to figure out how to word this without seeming like a douche - it's not my intent.

You've created a very large number of threads pointing out how absurd things are - usually tourney structure related, but there are a number of topics that qualify. So many threads like this, as you know, you've become the brunt of many jokes - complainsaw, etc.

My personal view is that you've turned into Poker's version of the Boy Who Cried Wolf.

The question is this:

Do you post these threads with tongue firmly planted in cheek? Or are you attempting to make a serious thread / complaint every time? If the answer is the latter, do you not realize how it looks from the outside looking in?

OT

About 100. 75 wpt. 15 or so at wsop. 10 wsop circuits when they were 10k.

Try and pick something that isn't related to gambling

Was playing video poker promos for years in ac. Also played omaha hi limit at home games. When the taj poker room opened in the 90s that game moved there, and eventually became omaha 8 or better.

The game grew to 50-100 then rotated between 75-150 and 100-200 mix for several years when stud 8 was added.

We played half hour of each. Notable players in that game. Ivey, hennigan, violette, frangos.

Main change would be to have a small, mid and hi buyin of the more popular horse games. 1500, 3000 and 10000. Rather than just 1500 or 10000. Also the late levels in most events skip a level when u finally get in the money.

They go 2000 4000, 3000 6000, 4000 8000. Basically in an hour the stakes double when u are finally in the money and the hands are most important.

Worked in market research for several years. First as a phone interviewer, then as a supervisor (teenager in charge of a roomful of adults ).

Then as data processing trainee, eventually ran my own department of 20 employees analyzing results for weekly polls for companies like abc news, washington post, and showtime.

I would drive from work on weekends and play in casonos in ac. I would usually lose, but got hooked after I won a car in 1991. In 1993, I met a guy who explained why I was losing, and a few years later poker started as well.

I quit my market research job in 1996, and started working for my sisters upstart company. I still went to casinos on weekends, but got invited to fly to vegas for a super bowl promo in 1998.

The vegas promos were even better than ac, and I started flying to vegas once or twice a month. I won a jaguar in 1999, and several blackjack tournaments.

I started going more and more often and entered my first wsop events in 2001.

In 2004, after watching the espn coverage of moneymaker, I decided to try a satellite for the main event. I knocked him out in the satellite, won the seat, and wound up at Doyle brunsons table.

I had never played nl before, and got hooked. I started playing more and more events, and by 2005, decided not to go back to Pennsylvania after id been living in hotels for several months.
