But with those buyins a $500 or 1k main would be perfect for players like u.

Agree100% that the main is too high, a 500 would be awesome for me personally but I could certainly see $1,000 main being reasonable. I like the smaller buy in sub events of this tourney but agree with you that the main event buyin should be reduced.

I think a 1k$ main is awesome. I wish there was a way to get this to change, because i could actually play it.

Re: The Chad Brown Poker Challenge April 19-29(Choctaw Casino)
I agree with everyone on the main. When I saw the banner up at Choctaw, I immediately saw the $2k main and said I won't play. I didn't pay $1600 for the WSOP-C main, can't see paying 2k here. Unless I win a satty or a prelim.
The prelims are great for someone like me though... small br, job, kids, etc... I can definitely drive up for some $200's on the weekends.

Re: The Chad Brown Poker Challenge April 19-29(Choctaw Casino)
This has been mentioned before, but it boils down to this. The prelims do not match up with the main. I see this a lot lateley. The problem is, only locals will play the sub $300 prelims as it is not worth traveling in from out of town for that price point and then it makes it questionable as to whether traveling in for the $2k main can be justified. I myself, love the $2k main, but the prelims should build up to this price point. $200s, $300s, $500s, and even a $1k prelim. This would make it attractive for those who need to travel in from out of town. With the price points on the current schedule, the main should really be a $500, but certainly no more than a $1k.

Yeah all of this. Too hard to make back gas, hotel and meals from Austin on $200 prelims, and I worry about coming up for just the main, and they have 70 runners or w/e, b/c the schedule doesn't build properly.

I had to choose from 5 hour drive to St Louis wsopc or 7 hour drive for this guess which one I'm going to.

Also the prelims might look like the TJ or NACPT ones with 50 runners. Barely worth the drive from McKinney.

This may end up like the Tunica Goldstrike's event last year it averaged around 100 players with as few as 60 and max 200. Mostly $200 events with 1 $300 and a 1K main that drew 135. And in a couple of weeks it will probably draw the same. It is a shame it is not promoted better and have more $300 events players just can't justify traveling to smaller events. But on the good side they do give players a free buffet coupon at dinner break.

Re: The Chad Brown Poker Challenge April 19-29(Choctaw Casino)
I hate the bad publicity poker receives but I feel this is worth mentioning (and kind of shocked that it hasn't been mentioned). If Jimmy is over-seeing this tournament then everyone needs to look at this recent thread (for those who don't look at NVG)
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29...wsopc-1162780/
To sum it up Jimmy has been accused of skimming a huge amount (possibly 1 million dollars or more) from prize pools in tournaments. I am not sure how I would feel about playing this tournament. I would want to support Chad Brown but I am not sure how I feel about Jimmy running the tournaments, and if not him, someone who was trained by Jimmy.
I just wanted to make everyone aware.
