Are there many 2+2 players coming to Punta Cana / Dominican Republic to play PartyPoker Caribbean Poker Party festival? $2M guaranteed in the 2500+250$ main event and $1M guaranteed in 4650+350$ WPT will probably bring huge field around. I probably play both as have got packages which I can use for both of those.
I bought plane tickets and will arrive 18th of November, did book hotel nearby for one night as I didn't want to pay 400$ for extra night in Hard Rock Hotel. Flights were going up rather quickly, but if you extend your stay a little bit it's likely you get them at lower price even near event.

A question to those who have already visited in Punta Cana in other events: is there lots of cash games (also PLO) around and at what level. Few friends from Finland are considering to come there but were worried about that as there's 0 PLO side events as well.
Another question for those who have stayed in Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana, are there good ways to use that resort credit that comes along with a room?
Has this event taken place in the past or is this the first time they go here to the HArd rock in Punta Cana, anyone know ?
I won a package on Party and there is conflicting information about the cost of bringing a second guest with me... in an e-mail i got promoting the sattelites and the reason I played it it it says:

Bujaux, I think they forgot to change information about packages in e-mail after they turned satellites to offer $6k packages instead of $8k. Those two packages differed, as $6k package offered just room for one and $1k and $8k package offered flights and room for two.
You should probably message Colette (Party_Rep). Maybe she can arrange some kind of solution.
Interested in packages. What's the deal if you plan to room with another poker player? Better off accepting separate rooms? Cash reimbursement or resort credit if combining rooms?
Can somebody that's there already please confirm if the satellites start at 8 pm instead of 7 pm? Are the guarantees for 10 seats instead of the 5 listed in the partypoker link?

Does this mean that players will get 50,000 chips for the initial $275 buy-in and 50K for up to one $275 re-entry, and another 50K with a $275 add-on?
I've been to Dominican Republic a couple of times before and any rain during the day is usually short. It was the same forecast the last time I played poker there and I remember there was only one night when it kept raining.

There's Scotiabank no RBC.
If you use your visa at the casino they charge 7%... no one is interested in CAD in DR and the exchange rate is gonna be very bad at banks/exchange money place... gl
Cash games non existant, quite pathetic on the part of hard rock/DTD. Should have set up something similar to what stars does at pca, they clearly have the staff to do so
Hopefully I don't bust too many bullets in the PPM!
