Sounds interesting, but nobody at the casino seems to know what the payout structure will be. With 15% of day 1 entrants qualifying, the 'best guess' of the floorman I spoke to was that they'll payout the top 10% of the overall field. Other 'Quantum' tournaments that I've played in pay all 'qualifiers' a min-cash before co-mingling them with the day 2 entrants, but that is apparently not going to happen in this event.

I think I can understand the sentiments of the gentleman that posted a comment on cardplayer's reference to this event: http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news...asino-in-april

Well, they're sticking to their regular payout structure: players who register on day 2 (Sunday) and then min-cash, will get roughly half their buy-in for their troubles. They're optimistically anticipating 50 day 2 entrants!

Any idea how many they got the first two flights? Also, when did play stop?

Cardplayer's page says the prizepool stands at $43,560 (225 entries) after the first 2 flights, and lists the current qualifiers. No mention of how long, but if it reached level 16, it probably didn't go much further.

Last night, Oceans' page also listed the stats after the first flight (119), but that has since disappeared.

This year they've added a new wrinkle. Although the publicity states that day 2 entrants will buy in with an average (100K) stack, they then allow said entrants to purchase 20K extra chips with an add-on.

I'm wondering if this is an officially sanctioned Quantum Reload tweak, of if it's something that Oceans' snuck in under the radar? Either way, it just doesn't seem right!
