I spoke with the poker room at Durant today and got clarification on the 2% rake coming off most events towards a National Championship. The 2% is going towards a National Championship for the Cardplayer Poker Tour that will be played in Durant some time next year. Cardplayer is still working on contracts for additional stops on the tour. The winner of the $1080 main event will receive entry into the National Championship. They are also going to have a points system.

I have a friend that wants to go play a couple of the $200 and I am going to tag along and hopefully play a nightly 100 or two. I haven't been to Choctaw since it was remodeled.

Where do they play the big tourney fields at? And has anyone been during a series like this and played any of the cheepo nightlies to see how they are. It has a 5k guarantee so 50 people is not to bad. I am really wondering about the structure of these. On the website you can see the structure of all the series events and they all seem to be 30 min levels but the nightly tournies are not listed. Anyone know how these will be ran?

Might just have to go play some 1/2 if these are just standard casino turbo donkaments.

Tourneys are at centerstage, by where the old poker room was.

Nightlys are better than most $100 tourneys but still a crapshoot at the end

And the rake is ridiculous on the small tourneys

New name change - it's now the Choctaw Lodge.

And the same rooms that were renting for $30-65 nightly now are going for $65-225 nightly. And no the rooms were not refurbished just a price increase.

This is concerning if the point system and at least a few other stops are not published prior to taking money from prize pools.
