Re: Caesars Megastack Series, May 25th - July 15th

I only get into town late Sunday night (3rd June). I tweeted them to find out if I could pre-register for the HU before I got there and was told that it was not possible.

Can't really see myself playing any of these events. There just seem to be better events elsewhere for my 2 weeks in Vegas (besides the HU event).

Does anyone have any information on if the Main Event is reentry or how that will work?

Pretty sure it was a reentry throughout the day up to a certain level, can't confirm since I didn't play. There was an issue that Mike Mizrachi busted on day1b and "was allowed" to re-enter after the reentry period. One of my friends busted him, then I believe he said something to the floor about it afterwards and got him DQ'ed.

Re: Caesars Megastack Series, May 25th - July 15th

last year it was re-entry until around 7:30pm/dinner break, but there was controversy because they allowed Michael Mizrachi to register at 9:30pm, however because earlier in the day they had run out of tournament chips(due to too many entries lol) and stopped registration for 2 hours they gave that as reason to allow The Grinder to rebuy at 9:30pm.

Seems the 12pm's have been getting in the 100-200 range & the double stack turbos in the 80-125 range. On my phone at the moment, so can't post exact #'s.

Re: Caesars Megastack Series, May 25th - July 15th

Hey guys in regards to structure-
The first four levels are a joke, they really are. But if you assume the tournaments starts after the first break the levels are actually quite reasonable. AT least for the 350 I played.

Sicne they give you a million chips they need to knock it down artificially through the blinds in the first 2 hours, then they give you play afterwards. I liked it a lot actually (didn't cash, boo) bc it did exactly what I expected it to. Brought in a LOT of fish who said "zomg huge stacks" but plays out in one day reasonably well.

Re: Caesars Megastack Series, May 25th - July 15th

Played the $130 ante only tournament today. Pretty interesting. A lot of fundamental errors like giving people walks, raising too small/large, folding to small preflop opens, etc.

Makes me want to play the $1500 at the WSOP.
